5.0 out of 5 stars Old sound, new tastes... July 17, 2013

Wampires album Curiosity was an album I bought about a month before I was set to see them perform opening for Starf*c*er. I had never heard of this band before and I must say I was very impressed and surprised. Their sound is reminiscent of surf, a little psychedelic mixed with new wave. I loved this album from start to finnish. There were no big surprises except for the opening track THE HEARSE and a track in the center I CAN'T SEE WHY which come at you pretty fast and in a way that makes you want to hear more.... a lot more. The rest of the album is a little more low key but fantastic if you like great kick back music. It's not to say that there is anything wrong with the album at all. Like I said, EVERY SONG WAS GREAT. The whole album sounds like it was recorded in low fi on purpose, to possibly give it a more nostalgic sound... possibly, but it sounds great anyways. The only better thing was seeing them live if you get a chance. They were phenomenal. From start to finish, just like the album.

5.0 out of 5 stars What an oustanding band!! May 17, 2013
Format:MP3 Music
I saw this band play live in Bloomington, IN and knew they were special. The way they carried themselves was both creative and humble. I couldn't wait for this album and it didn't disappoint. I knew several of the tracks from their live performance and the tracks I didn't know were just as impressive. Fantastic album from a fantastic band.

I just couldn't resist a band named "Wampire." The album is pretty good, though. I highly recommend it to all.

This is a fantastic piece of electro-pop. Produced by the bass player in Unknown Mortal Orchestra. Get hip to this. For fans of Of Montreal, MGMT & the like...
