A bedtime favorite,
By A Customer
This review is from: Curious George and the Bunny (Board book)
I bought this book because of my own fond memories of Curious George, and am happy to see that my 10-month-old son feels similarly. The story is long enough to have a real plot, yet short enough to keep his interest. The repetitive nature of the text ("bunny" appears on almost every page) also seems to reinforce the association between the text and the illustrations. Several of our friends have pet rabbits, and my son invariably pulls this book off the shelf after visits with them!

I love this book because it is short and simple, but still tells a story that flows. My one year son loves all the bunnies as well as George. I highly reccomend it!

18 month old loves this book,

We read this book at least once a day to our 18-month old son, who now looks for "bunny holes" whenever we go for a walk. It's nice to have a short format book for Curious George-obsessed kids under two.

Curious George and the Bunny,

I got this book for my daughter's first birthday. She loved it, and asked for it again and again. She's almost two now and still asks for it sometimes. It's a charming story about a baby bunny lost and found. At one, I doubt my daughter could have enjoyed a full-length Curious George book. This was a wonderful way to introduce her to the character and whet her appetite for more when she is older.

Perfect for younger Curious George lovers,

As the mom of a not-quite-two-year-old who adores Curous George, it is a relief to have C.G. in boardbook and shortened format. The bunny episode from C.G. Flies a Kite is the best part of that book anyhow!

Curious George without the naughtiness! Yippee!,

This review is from: Curious George and the Bunny (Board book)
I adore Curious George but had struggled with the idea of buying the books for my son because George is always so naughty but ends up being a hero in the end. That is not a great lesson for the pre-school set, I think! He NEVER gets in trouble. In fact, great accolades are usually the result of his failure to behave and follow instructions to stay home. The only bad review for this book is from someone who writes, rightly, that this board book is just an excerpt from Curious George Flies a Kite. That's true but that's why I LOVE THIS BOOK! It gives me the opportunity to expose my son to this much beloved character without teaching him the lesson that misbehavior is acceptable. This version is fabulous. It is a great length and has the lovely illustrations that I remember so fondly as a child. That said, the way in which George "helped the bunny out" of the hole (by pulling the bunny's tail) provides a good opportunity to discuss handling animals gently with your kids! :>) Otherwise, terrific!

The twins loved it!,

This review is from: Curious George and the Bunny (Board book)
We bought this book for our slightly-more-than-2-year-old twin grandsons, and they loved it. At this age, they're more interested in identifying the pictures than following the story, but that's ok. There's something about the monkey image that is endlessly fascinating to them. And all two-year-olds love bunnies. Go for it!

I bought this for the Kindle iPad app because the title said it was the Spanish edition. Alas, the book was not in Spanish. I should have previewed it first.

Great Start to intrduce your baby to Curious George,
This review is from: Curious George and the Bunny (Board book)
This book is a great starter book to introduce your infant/toddler to Curious George. The book is a nice size and has lots of colorful pictures and a condensed storyline that can be read over and over.
In this book, George finds a bunny house and of course, is curious about the baby bunnies. He wants to hold one and play hide and seek with it. He gets more than he bargained for when the bunny runs away and George is left trying to figure out a different way to find the bunny. |
