Curious George: Takes a Job and More Monkey Business!

I got this because our PBS station stopped showing this in the morning and my 2 year old was yelling "Monkey, monkey!" at 8 am everyday. Well, this is playing on our TV everyday now. In spite of that, she and I have enjoyed all the episodes and they are really funny. I love the Italian chef and George is a riot in his kitchen. My 2 year old chuckles everytime George breaks a spaghetti noodle.

My kids really love this adorable monkey and his "dad" - the Man in the Yellow Hat. I like that he demonstrates a lot of cognitive reasoning without language. Really well done!

I never thought much of Curious George before I had my son, but somehow we discovered this together. Curious George is his favorite cartoon series by far. He watches practically no other (we've also got just about every Curious George book). I find these enjoyable and will even tolerate watching repeats. The writers seem to have put these together knowing that mom and dad may be captive audiences.

On behalf of my 2 year old, this is a great DVD. Nothing else keeps his attention for more than a few minutes. He'd watch this DVD all day (if I let him).

Another excellent edition to the Curious George DVD series! My children love it because it's entertaining and fun; I like it because it provides a fun way to engage my children in learning about the world around them and about cause and effect. I highly recommend it!

The concept is bizarre: a curious monkey lives in New York City with the currator of a museum; the currator always wears yellow and treats the monkey as somewhat of a surrogate child. They have many interesting adventures, including some that take place at a country home near a lake.

Even so; this is my three year old boy's favorite show, and this DVD makes it possible for him to watch it anytime he wants. This is good, educational, nonviolent television that is funny and cute for kids and adults.

My 3-year-old really likes to watch this show every morning on PBS, so we bought a few DVDs. I like that there are so many episodes on each DVD- it's worth the money. This collection, where George learns about various jobs, has been great for my son. I like that George is learning to work hard to earn what he wants. He does cause trouble and get distracted at times, but he still gets the job done!

The thing that keeps my son's attention, I think, is the fact that there isn't much talking going on. George has to use his facial expressions and actions to get his points across, and then the narrator explains a little about what is going on. So many shows for little kids seem like they might be harder to follow since there is so much dialogue. For kids my son's age, I think these shows are great!

This video is great- I think there are about 10 episodes- definately plenty for long car trips. These episodes are taken from PBS and are the ones currently running. They are very high quality shows and don't bore the adults to tears on the 30th viewing like many children's shows & movies do. Another plus- none of the singing and dancing that is all too common in children's programming!

My mom loves Curious George series! I bought this DVD for her for Christmas, she loves it! I also bought 2 other Curious George DVDs.

Curious George is great for any age group and the content of the shows is always great. The stories are silly and there is always a lesson to be learned. I would recommend all of the t.v. series of George DVD's based on my daughters love for the ones we own.
