Great Way to Teach Emotions,
By A Customer
This review is from: Curious George's Are You Curious? (Board book)
This book was not at all what I expected. At first I wasn't sure I would like it, but the response from my one year old son was excellent. He really enjoys learning about all the different emotions George feels. We also spend a lot of time talking about being naught and getting a time out. I think it helps a little with understanding.

Delightful!,

Accompany George on a tour of feelings and emotions where he is sometimes sad, and sometime silly. "Are You Curious," explores the curiosity of children in an amusing and delightful way, "Have you ever been naughty, so that you need a time out?" This entertaining little board book will hold your babies interest through colorful illustrations and simple text. Birth and up.

Monkeys have emotions, too (but better options exist for you),

Out of a dozen "feelings" in the book, almost half are negative (scared, hurt, sick, sad, naughty), plus the presumption that your youngster needs to sulk in time outs. This very short board book, published in 1998, simply takes scenes from existing Curious George books. This then is a money grab, and offers little at that. For a child who has trouble handling emotions, better options exist. For the baby demographic, Disney's Winnie the Pooh: Feelings (Learn & Grow) is a great choice. Older kids can try either Today I Feel Silly: And Other Moods That Make My Day by Jamie Lee Curtis or Big Rabbit's Bad Mood by Romanian author (not the model?) Ramona Badescu.

The twins loved it!,

We bought this book for our slightly-more-than-2-year-old twin grandsons, and they loved it. At this age, they're more interested in identifying the pictures than following the story, but that's ok. There's something about the monkey image that is endlessly fascinating to them. All two-year-olds love monkeys. Go for it!

poor quality,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Curious George's Are You Curious? (Hardcover)
"Used - Very Good" was the condition that I expected this book to be in. Actually, the book had a very bad peeling cellophane cover and stains on the edges and insides of the book. I was hoping to return it to my library, since we lost this book. The librarian would not accept it due to the condition. I expected it to be used, but not in such poor condition.
