G.A. Freiman¿s book is a deep look at important current events surrounding America as well as detailed predictions for the outcome of each event. This book was published on February 5,2008 and I got it on April 7,2008. I checked the Amazon Customer Reviews right away, and found that none had been yet submitted. I thought that when I had finished reading it yesterday,that I'd be having the pleasure of being the first to review it. I was surprised when I started to write this review that one had already been posted on April 9th. The review by Richard Blake is excellent and I agree with all he has to say about this timely and outstanding analysis of the Current Affairs in America and thoughtful analysis of many things as well as suggestions and predictions for the future.
This is the author's first book and an amazingly good effort . He is not a politician and probably does not belong to any party.He discusses how the way government has changed since America was formed and how people have been short changed by over government and political parties and politicians who have more interest in their own preservation than the interests of the people they have been elected to serve. If you wonder why a Canadian would be interested in this book, it is very simple. Our lifestyle and future is more influenced by what happens in America than what happens here. Yes, we as well as America, have a way of life that surpasses any other countries in the world. It's often been said ;"When you leave America there's no better place to go". It's a little different here in Canada.While many leave here, and go to America,the only time large groups leave America and come to Canada are times like when those Loyalists to England ,during the American Revolution ,who came in large numbers;or the American Draft Dodgers who streamed across the border during the Vietnam War. Another thing worth mentioning is that a lot of Americans wonder what has happened to their neighbor to the north. It seems that the great likeness we had for one another,is not what it used to be.The answer is simple. Since WWII;Canada has been steadily drifting down the road of Socialism and there are two things that stick in the craw of Socialists is Capitalism and the freedoms and successes of America.Also;many of the things that the author discusses are even worse in Canada.Furthermore,the anti-Americanism you hear from canada comes fron the Left and Socialist types who ptrdominate in our government ,academia and media ,with the government owned and biased CBC leading the parade. The author discusses many things that bother people and shows why things have become so frustrating.Socialism and its natural component of big government;takes everything out of the hands of the people. All one has to do is look at any country that has adopted socialism and the majority of us would not be enamoured with living there. Whether it is the idea that nothing seems to chang when one political party replaces another,why there is so much dissatisfaction with the schools,why the media is so biased and agenda driven,why public services are so unresponsive to the people they are supposed to serve,why the law and justice systems are so ineffective and expensive,why illegal immigration seems unsolveable,and on and on;the author addresses all these things .He spells out where the problems lie and what must be done to correct them.He also give some thoughtful predictions of where America is likely to head and why. The author shows that the success of America came from the beliefs of the founders ,and as we move away from these fundamental concepts,as we are now doing,America will continue to lose its greatness. Those concepts are; Freedom + Organized Religion + Capitalism + Education = Success When any of these concepts ate missing or are reduced,success cannot be sustained. Pure and simple,just look around; The Holy Roman Empire,Communism ,Socialism,Soviet Union,;not only were these concepts forbidden or controlled by the government,but success was never attained. The author claims to be gifted with phychic abilities and is able to carry out readings. I have never been convinced of these abilities;but if that is where the author gets inspiration;so be it. The important thing is;what he concludes seems to make a lot of sense to me;and I have come to many of the same conclusions. I'll tell you one thing ,there are many things the author has to say that make a whole lot of sense and if you take what he has to say to heart;you and the country will be a lot better off. Political Parties ,regardless of their stripe,breed hatred,and all one has to do is think about what political hacks and medida types are spouting during campaigns;you will come to only one conclusion;none of them are looking out for your interests. If you have a lot of concerns about many of the directons that the country is drifting you will do yourself a great favor by getting and reading this book. Political hacks, agenda driven media and others in positions of influence should also read this book.They might not like what they find in it;maybe even see that the populance are wiseing up to them;and get on board to getting the country back on track. Americans are faced with fears: fears for the economy, fears of terrorist attacks, and afraid that the people around the world will neither like us nor respect us. In "Current Events, Conservative Outcomes" G. A. Freiman discusses, interprets, and analyzes these unknown fears in light of current events with a look into the future. Freiman's innate passion and love for his country is reflected in his writing. He deals with the issues of political correctness, terrorism, global warming, poverty, abortion, and euthanasia with clarity, awareness and candor. I was challenged by the questions that accompanied each issue, which offered suggestions the reader could take to have an impact on the future, whether dealing with personal, political, or social issues. Freiman's predictions on American culture were of particular interest. His predictions provide insight and are worthy of consideration even for the skeptic of physic phenomena. Although the title may isolate the readership, this is a book for liberal and conservative a like. It is a call to positive involvement and a commitment to create a better future for our children and for those after them. "Current Events, Conservative Outcomes" is insightful, informational, and entertaining. Frieman's approach draws the reader into a personal exploration of their faith, the meaning of life, root causes, global thinking, and their relationship with God, His creation, and with all of humanity.
