This review is from: Current Controversies In The Anxiety Disorders (Hardcover)
Containing chapters written by leading researchers in their fields, this edited book provides excellent accounts of different controversial areas in the anxiety disorders. Topics include the validity of the DSM-IV classification of anxiety disorders, the etiology of panic disorder, whether anxiety sensitivity is different from trait anxiety, whether OCD is correctly classified as an anxiety disorder, and the mechanisms of change in exposure therapy. In addition to containing authors' views on controversial areas, this book contains their responses to the chapters containing opposing views. Rapee's book provides an excellent introduction to several areas of research in the anxiety disorders and should be read by all anxiety researchers.Lee J.
