5.0 out of 5 stars Cosmology, August 11, 2007
This review is from: Current Issues in Cosmology (Hardcover)
For a reader who is familiar with general topics of astrophysics such as red shift, gravitational lensing, quasi stellar objects and the presently accepted view of the universum ,"Current Issues in Cosmology" provides an excellent summary of the various underlying physical explanations. The collection of papers submitted during the conference at Collège de France in June 2004 is highly stimulating, because various alternate theories to the currently accepted Big Bang are explained. Although some mathematical formulas are part of the presentations, the narrative can be easily followed without digging into the technical details.
