Excellent book for detailed information!,

This review is from: Current Surgical Diagnosis and Treatment (Paperback)
I used this book on my surgery rotation as a third year medical student. Even though I have no desire to go into surgery, I plan to go into a specialty that deals with patients with general medical problems. Having a comprehensive surgical text will help me better to manage problems and know when to refer to my surgical colleagues. During my rotation, the book was obviously not my primary source of study (it's too big to get through), but it was an excellent reference book to read about my patients, surgeries, lectures, and avoid being pimped by attendings.
I recommend this book to any third year student for his or her rotation, those going into surgery, or those in general practice looking to see things from a surgical perspective; it's really a good reference book for anyone.
