Six step approach systematically guides the process of problem identification, needs assessment, writing goals and objectives, educational strategies, implementation process, and getting worthwhile evaluation and feedback. Based upon Johns Hopkins Internal Medicine model but substantial utility for all medical disciplines. I will use it in redesigning curriculum at my institution. Highly recommended!

The book deserves 5 stars across the board. Just because it's required reading shouldn't reduce it to 4 stars. It is concise, clear, and detailed enough that you can write a curriculum after reading this short book. There are incredible tables and appendices with practical information including places to publish your curriculum. It sits right next to my SPSS manual as the often-used quick reference. If you're going into medical education, you MUST read and keep this book.

This book was required reading before a simulator instruction course. Good overview of curriculum development with good examples that can be implemented as an instructor.
Like most textbooks the writing was dry. I recommend reading in the daylight sitting up.

Book necessary for a class, a must read for me, specialized in scope. Would not read for pleasure, certainly. Just as you'd expect a textbook--sometimes interesting, sometimes perfunctory. Book itself arrived with half the pages bent back and it is printed on cheap (newspaper-like) paper, but arrived in a timely manner, service was fine, good transaction otherwise.
