Best mode of local transportation for the price,
By Kris Rosa "KR" (New York, NY USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Ezip 900 Electric Scooter (Sports)
Let me first off say i'm 28 years old and I bought this scooter off another site, but I respect Amazon enough not to say which site.
First impressions are the most lasting, the moment I opened the flaps on the box and smelled that new tire rubber smell I got excited. Upon taking it out of the box I was impressed in how well they made sure everything that could scratch was covered and parts were rubber capped. Assembly was such a breeze, that not only did it take less then 10 minutes, but my girlfriend in the same room slept right through it. I never installed the seat and don't plan to, so my review is based on standing. After putting it together I had nothing left to do but stare at it until I had to go to work because it needs to charge for 8 to 10 hours. I got home from work around midnight and rushed to see if it actually works. While walking it with slight throttle to get from my backyard to the road I could already realize the power of this thing. This thing rides like a dream, the shocks aren't just for show, I took foot wide potholes and my body was never rattled. I weigh around 210 and this thing took me around the block so fast that I just had to do it again. The power of this thing is amazing, i know it was 15mph or less, but I felt like I was doing 25mph. The throttle is twist sensitive making turns and slowing down that much easier. The front disc break is also great for easing to a stop, though I found myself easing on the throttle till I was almost stopped then using the disk break to finally stop, this creates a real smooth stop. A little warning though, I did get pulled over by a cop who told me its unsafe to ride at night without some sort of front bike light and some sort of back LED or something to make you visible at night. I fully agree with this, plus the reflectors that come with it are very small, so visibility at night is an issue. If you plan on riding it during the day only, then you won't need to worry about headlights and should be legal as long as you follow bicycle rules and local laws. Overall, a great scooter for a great price that fully exceeded my expectations. Everything from the front disk break to the indicator on the handlebar grip that lights up for full, half, and low battery life shows the thought and quality put into this scooter. This thing is built for adults as well, its well over 50 pounds, but isn't as hard to lift because the weight is spread out. It doesn't look cheap or cheesy either, it actually looks very ahead of its time and will have people complimenting it for years. If you need alternate green transportation, or just something fun to cruise with, then you must have this scooter.

Ezip 900- unreliable,
By mom J "mom of boys" (St. Louis, Missouri) - See all my reviews

When it works it is really fun! The problem is that it only worked for 1 day. When we called for help we were told that we could not return the product but instead had to wait for repair parts to be shipped to us (they wanted to charge us for the shipping of these parts!)Since then it has worked off and on. I would only buy this from a local dealer who could service it if you get a lemon like I did.

Great! Better than RAZOR!,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Ezip 900 Electric Scooter (Sports)
I was going to get the razor scooter but this is so much better and I caught it on sale for the same price as the razor here on amazon! This has 900watts of power (the razor has 250) do not believe amazon's description of only 500W power! They had a typo! It is 900W! It will let you adjust your speed and the razor has no adjustable throttle. This scooter holds a heavier weight limit too.
I gave this to my husband for Christmas and he loves it. he weighs about 190 and we live in Colorado- very hilly- the scooter has no problems getting up hills. He has used it for probably about 5 hours and we have had no problems.
