5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome old fashioned coloured plates with captivating charm!, January 3, 2008
By
Nancy Drew "Nancy A." (Wonderful scenic Ozarks!) - See all my reviews
This book is filled with 80 classic coloured prints that are ready to frame.
They are grouped together by subject:seasons, country homes, farmyards, fishing, hunting, horses, railroads, just to name a few...
Old time American ways of life, simple life of by-gone days with a old fashioned charm sure to please whether you want a book just to look at or to actual have the prints to frame.
ONE NOTE HERE of caution-if you are looking to frame DO NOT get the BOOK CLUB edition as some of the prints are back to back and you might have to choose which side to display once framed,as they are printed on BOTH sides!
I ran into this problem when choosing railroad prints for my son.
Fortunately I got another copy which doesn't have the prints on both sides and noted it was not a book club edition.
If you are wanting a copy just for reading or collecting a book club edition should be ok as it does have the same prints as the other edition, however be sure to ask your seller if it has been cut out of as my book club edition had a few cut out where it wasn't noticeable.
All in all a very nice book with lots of really beautiful prints.
A MUST have if you collect Currier and Ives or like a bit of old fashioned America!
