What a wonderful book!, January 19, 2009

I have quite a few Indian cookbooks on my shelf that contain curry recipes. This one is, by far, one of the best books I own. It not only explains the various spices and herbs used in curry cooking, but also includes a chapter on mail order places where you can buy the ingredients in case you cannot find them at your local stores. The photography is beautiful - in fact it's so mouth watering you could almost eat the book! The recipes cover different types of curries that use chicken, meat, fish and/or vegetables as well as potato and rice side dishes, naan, samosas, pappadom, and chutneys and relishes. The recipes are simple to make and so far, each one has turned out to be delicious. I have loved every one of them. I highly recommend this book.
