The story line is unexpected and entertaining.
If you have not read the previous three Cassandra Palmer books or the first book in her Dorina Basarab series, be sure and pick those up first.
Actually - even the few times you do get some down time & much needed closeness between characters, that also gets dramatic interruptions.
