5.0 out of 5 stars Play this with the lights off!, September 28, 2005

So a lot of games claim to be scary. But most of the time they aren't. But let me just tell you, after playing Delaware St. John, I can tell you that it WILL scare you. Creepy apparitions, creaky doors, ferocious monsters, a frightening soundtrack.... This game has it all. Delaware and Kelly make a great team and are very fun to interact with. Game play is very gamer-friendly. The stories are full of intrigue and suspense and the chracters actually have great depth. There are two parts to this game and each one is as equally excellent. Kudos to Big Time Games for making such an all around great interactive game. I can't wait for Volume Two!

4.0 out of 5 stars A new sleuth in town?, April 26, 2006

I recently purchased The Curse of Midnight Manor and I really didn't know what to expect. At first I thought it would be like Nancy Drew but about twenty minutes into the game I realized it wasn't so much a caper I was here to solve, but the existence of real ghosts! There's two full stories in the game, the second being my favorite that involves the "accidental" death of a magician.

Delaware is a very likeable character who is also psychic so he picks up clues normal people couldn't. The atmosphere is creepy with some wonderful music throughout the game. I give this game a 4 for only the reason I wish it was longer! I didn't want it to end luckily the sequel is already out and I have that on order too!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great gaming in the first of a series, May 15, 2006

It's been a while since I've encountered a that has been able to keep my interest for more than an hour. Then along comes Delaware St. John. This breath of fresh air in the pc gaming genre is mysterious, exciting and thought-provoking. The puzzles make you think, the music keeps the mood spooky and the story moves along at a great pace. Delaware St. John is a must have. I can't wait to get Volume 2.
