Book Description

January 1, 2004 Smallville (Warner) (Book 7)
Over a decade ago a child from a distant planet fell to Earth in a lethal hail of meteors that forever changed Smallville, Kansas. Now a teen, Clark Kent must master his alien abilities-while radiation from the glowing green meteor fragments mutates his townspeople. Only Clark has the power to protect Smallville... Terror Text Are Smallville's strange mysteries caused by the meteor rocks...or by even more sinister forces? A nineteenth-century diary found in an unmarked grave alleges that the region was forever cursed by a vengeful witch. Suddenly, terrible events begin to happen in Smallville-bizarre occurrences similar to those described in the journal. And when Chloe Sullivan breaks the story, panic spreads like wildfire and lives are lost. Now Clark must discover the truth behind a 150-year-old tragedy, before the curse claims all of Smallville...

Editorial Reviews

Review

An all-new, original story based on the hit TV series, Smallville. Clark Kent's superpowers have completely vanished just as a recently paroled murderer rolls into town, unless Clark's memory and abilities return, Smallville will be at the mercy of a psychopath who's feeling more than a little physically-enhanced, thanks to some meteor-contaminated drinking... --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

5.0 out of 5 stars Intriguing, December 21, 2004
This review is from: Curse (Smallville) (Mass Market Paperback)
An intriguing Smallville book that is heavy on plot and Superman mythology. Clark uses his superpowers to help solve an intricate string of crimes around. When a journal is discovered, this starts the string of mysterious crimes. Fast-paced and good plot, a good possibility for a Smallville episode.

5.0 out of 5 stars the best smallville book ever, May 8, 2004

This review is from: Curse (Smallville) (Mass Market Paperback)
the book starts out with a grave digger unearthing a fallen tombstone. when he digs around further and finds the coffin he finds a journal and takes it with him. these events unleash a 150 year old curse upon smallville. all of a sudden there are a rash of freak accidents and deaths that are attributed to the curse. the whole town is freaking out trying to find answers and our hero is up to his eyeballs with the curse and a couple of other problems.

the book is well written and will keep you on edge until the end. my only complaint with the book is the ending. it was so anticlimax and boring that i could not believe the same author actually wrote the ending.(it was more like you got to be kidding after all this buildup).
