Curse of Xanathon like sevral of the old adventures does not work very well on it's own. Like most such modules it is better to use it as a resource for your own stories to flesh it out and give it a bit more flavor. As a resource I found it interesting and useful with lotws of little tidbits and encounters to spice up a rather straight forward adventure that I had developed. As a standalone adventure I would recommend staying away. It isn't that the adventure is bad . It's just that it needs work.
Of course, some may look at it as a strength for a resource to be so flexible. |
