my favorite morgoth cd and one of the best death releases ever. this is now pretty difficult to find but trust me, it's well worth the search; 9 tracks of darksome, fearful, horrific (you name it !) evil. alternating slow paced heaviness (a la obituary) with the usual death blasting fury this album offers a surprising variety for a musical genre that has now lapsed into total stupidity and childishness (any cannibal corpse/napalm death fans here???). this is what death metal should sound like and gosh what an awesome production!the drumming present on this album is unique, while the vocals are morgoth's best (especially on 'opportunity is gone') where the vox become completely lifeless and scorch your soul mercilessly. "Cursed" is just as good as "cause of death", "blessed are the sick" and "onwards to golgotha".

This is one the best recordings ever! I'll been a fan of death metal for over 20 years. Morgoth was one of the original death metal bands that hooked me to the genre. I was fortunate enough to see the band perform live in concert while stationed over in Germany for the Army. I bought 'Cursed' when it was a new release, but lost it years ago. Thank God! I found the cd availible on Amazon. Morgoth doesn't compare to any other band. Great, original death metal! TH
