Un Curso de Milagros me hizo plantearme muchas preguntas sobre mi vida, el mundo, el amor, el odio, el perdon, etc.
Este Curso, nos enseña a ver el mundo de otra manera, en compañía del Guia Interno o Espiritu Santo, y propone un largo trabajo de auto observación continua.
Además, sus extraordinarios y lógicos planteamientos psicologicos me dan la certeza sobre su veracidad, sin dogmas preestablecidos como en muchas de las iglesias y movimientos espirituales actuales.
Un maravilloso libro, un maravilloso sistema, un gran maestro.

La propuesta fundamental de Un Curso de Milagros es tan radical que implica un cambio igual de profundo en aquel que se adentre en sus páginas. En principio, resulta dificilisimo digerir la idea de la irrealidad del mundo fúico, el cual no serú} más que una proyección de nuestros egos. La premisa básica del libro, aceptar que somos Hijos de Dios a quienes no nos falta nada pero que vivimos en la ilusión de estar separados de nuestro Creador, es una idea que permea en nuestra mente sólo con una disciplina constante y enriquecedora. No es un libro simplemente para leer. Es un libro para estudiar, subrayar, meditar y trabajar el resto de la vida.

The last time I saw my father, Arthur Olivo, before he died, I read to him from this book (in the letter of the law he was my step-father, in the letter his heart and mine he was and always will be my father - "Truth extends inward, where loss is inconceivable and only increase is possible." - A Course In Miracles). It was the culmination of years of work at trying to become fluent in Spanish. I wanted to be able to communicate with my father in his first language. I am eternally grateful that the last time I saw him, I communicated with him in his first language while reading to him from the book that is the basis of my life. I read him the introduction, "Nada real puede ser amenazado. Nade irreal existe. En esto radica la paz de Dios."

"Amenazado?" He said teasingly.

"Amenazado?"

See, the Course is just as high brow in Spanish as it is in English. Apparently my father, like me, had never heard the word "amenazado." Obviously, being the translation of the sentence "nothing real can be threatened," "amenazado" must mean "threatened," but in a very fancy way.

My father was of Mexican heritage, but was born on a migrant camp in Texas. Therefore, he did not speak the dialect the Course was translated into. Equally, most North Americans do not speak the "high brow" dialect of the English version of the Course. The Course is very fancy, and when they translated it into Spanish they translated it into the very fancy and proper Castilian Spanish from Spain. Not conversational Mexican Spanish, nor the conversational Spanish of any Hispanic country (not even Spain).

So, I suppose it means this translation is a success because I, though I am more or less proficient in Spanish, have had to look up words from this Spanish translation (just as I have had to do with the English version). But that's the point of the Course, to make us "work" to understand it. By being written in a style we do not use in every day conversation - no matter the language - the Course has elevated us out of our daily lives.

I am very happy, very very happy, that the last time I saw my father I read to him from this book. Even though he had never heard the word "amenazado," I'm sure he understood it from the context. And it's nice to remember that the last time I saw my father I reminded him and myself that nothing, not even he, can be threatened.

"Y cual es el final de la muerte? Nada mas que esto: el reconocimiento de que el Hijo* de Dios es inocente ahora y siempre. Nada mas que esto. Pero no olvides que tampoco no es menos." - Manual Para Maestros, pagina 74.

("And what is death? Nothing more than this: the realization that the Son of God is guiltless now and forever. Nothing more than this. But do not forget that it is not less than this." - Manual for Teachers)

It is ironic that "A Course In Miracles" is about healing, and my mind always feels healed to speak and hear Spanish. What a beautiful language! I always feel close to my father when I hear Spanish, when I speak it, and when I read it. Now, thanks to this translation from the good people at the Foundation for Inner Peace, I can read my favorite book in Spanish.

(*"A Course In Miracles" says that we are all collectively the "Son" [or "Sons" "Children"] of God. So, the end of death is realizing that we are all Ultimately guiltless and sin is not real. This is not an easy idea to grasp, it requires coming to terms with the Course's teaching that we are not our bodies, that there is no duality in God, and the entire physical world is an illusion.)

"Un Curso de Milagros", a Spanish translation of "A Course In Miracles", is a jewel in print. Its powerful yet simple message has brought up tears of joy to my eyes every single time I have opened any of its pages. I truly belief it is an inspired Scripture. I am buying copies for my Spanish speaking relatives in the assurance that if they heed the words of the Author their lives will change forever.

Este es un gran libro, que no debemos leer a la ligera. Es un libro para estudiar,meditar,reflexionar,comentar...La busqueda nuestra es para siempre, y como dijo Jesus:-Cuando el discipulo esta listo, aparece el Maestro-
Yo soy una persona muy amplia de mente, por tanto, un libro como este me resulta inspirador,instructivo,educativo, altamente espiritual. El Reino de Dios no esta aqui o alla;esta dentro de nosotros, donde habita el Ser Supremo (o Dios, El Ser, El Eterno, como le quieran llamar) y por tanto nosotros somos divinos y no nos falta absolutamente nada. Este libro me hace hallarle sentido a muchas cosas y responde muchas de mis preguntas. Tambien recomendaria algunos otros libros, igualmente espirituales e inspiradores. Siempre me he considerado una ardua buscadora de "LA VERDAD".Lo cierto que esta Verdad vive dentro de nosotros. Nuestro unico deber hacia ella es descubrirla y estar en conexion con ella.Esa es la razon de nuestro nacimiento en este mundo. Me gustaria si alguien desea comunicarse conmigo se sienta en libertad de hacerlo. Me gustaria compartir ideas y experiencias. Pienso que mientras halla amor y respeto, podemos aprender los unos de los otros. Les deseo lo mejor y mucha paz y amor para todos.

Its the most real one I have ever read ....Its a book beyond this world....

This book is amazing, you can hear God talking to you, everyone that wants to know the truth should read it.

I found it to be a better the original English language version. The Spanish vocabulary and grammer it uses is very easy to grasp and very textbook correct. In fact, even though I'm not a native Spanish speaker, I found this book easier to understand than the original English version it was translated from.
