I got this hitch for hauling a U-Haul trailer with my Chevy Trailblazer SUV. It is well made and the chrome was intact after hauling a trailer 500 miles through mountain roads. It fit my Chevy factory hitch perfectly and was easy to install and remove, yet it was solid in the hitch mount.

Buying through Amazon saved me over 50% from buying at U-Haul.

Don't forget to get the 7 to 4 pin adapter if you are renting from U-Haul. The adapters U-Haul sells are expensive and not very good quality.

Solid hitch and great value! This was about the only Class III/IV hitch and ball combo I found that is rated for 7,500 lbs. Most others are only rated for 6,000 lbs. I definitely recommend this setup.

Needed to get a ball mount quickly to haul a 9' x 12' trailer over 350 miles. I was happy that with Amazon prime I got the ball-mount shipped 2nd day air at no extra shipping cost. The move went smoothly. Would recommend this product.

As noted by many other reviewers, the quality of this mount is first-rate. If you only need the ball size that was pre-installed, I highly recommend this product. But I tow several trailers at different times, some of them requiring different ball sizes; I'm accustomed to being able to change to a different-size ball when I change trailers. The problem is that the description of the mount doesn't mention that the nut is not only torqued but also treated with thread-lock compound. So I had to heat the nut with a torch to char the thread locking compound in order to get the nut off. First I tried bouncing on a 2-foot breakover bar with socket - that's 400 lb ft of torque - and the nut didn't budge, so I resorted to the torch. Also, when I read in the description, "hole 3/4 inch," I thought that meant that the hole that accepts the shank of the ball is 3/4 inch in diameter, so I ordered a ball in another size I need with that shank diameter. So I am irritated that not only did I have to mar the mount to change balls, but also that the second ball I ordered along with the mount is the wrong one because the hole in the mount that accepts the ball is 1 inch in diameter.

The hitch has held up well and it looks great. I purchased Curt products after a good deal of research and I have been very happy with my decision thus far. I have only had the opportunity to tow with it once, but that was a 1000 mile haul.
I plan on leaving the hitch on year round and having it pull double duty as a bumper guard. I live in the city and I am forced to park on the street. I have neighbor(s) who insists on hitting my truck every time they park near me (previously causing damage to my vehicle). This hitch has stopped any new dents/scratches form appearing on my bumper; it also reveals the wrongdoers by leaving an ugly scar on the vehicle(s) that insist on running into it. Now all I need to do is find one for the front bumper.
I will wright another review in a few months to let you know how it holds up.

This mount came complete with the ball and pins and fit the Curt hitch receiver like a glove. Sturdy and less expensive than any other options I could find.

Curt products are high quality and this drop loaded ball mount is no exception. The welds look very good along with the finish. It fits well and I recommend it to anyone.

The hitch tongue and ball came as pictured. I found that if installed as shown on my 2008 RAV-4, my boat trailer rode too low and I was afraid it would scrape when I pulled out of the driveway. So I took a pipe wrench (didn't have a large enough crescent wrench) and placed a long piece of pipe on the wrench handle to give me more leverage, and removed the hitch ball and then replaced the hitch ball in the "upside down" position and tightened it. I then pulled out the tongue and flipped it over so the ball was right side up. This gave me about 4 extra inches of clearance for my trailer and "looks" like it will ride better. I've towed my 19 foot boat twice with no problems.

The ball mount is fine and handled my first few loads with no problems. The ball on the other hand is already RUSTING! Used it for a few trips with the trailer before the rain started. The ball has already started to rust on the top of the ball. The ball from my old ball mount, used for years, left on all year round..... has very little rust compared to this brand new one! I live in California, not in the snow, so no salt or anything could be blamed for the fast corrosion! Plan on replacing the ball with this combo!

Very high quality, excellent finish on the ball and the mount. Good price too, as good if not better than the more pricier options.
