FROM THE BACK COVER: Takeover! Alexandra had heard all the rumors about her new boss, Kyle Maddison. He was supposed to be a shark, a corporate raider. The kind of man who puts profits above his employees.

She expected that working for him would be difficult, but thought she could handle any situation. Then she realized she was in trouble. Because Kyle wasn't content with controlling Fosdick-Kent Plastics - he wanted Alexandra too!

She was determined to resist this powerful man. But could she? Especially when her younger brother was at his mercy?

MY REVIEW: Originally published in 1990, the plot of this book may seem dated to some readers. Alexandra's parents are dead, and she does her best to look after her young brother, who seems to move from one scrape to another without pause. Our hero, Kyle Maddison, is a typical alpha-male businessman who takes one look at our heroine and falls head over heels in love. But we aren't to know that until the end of the book. Unfortunately, Alexandra doesn't know it either, as it appears that Kyle has blackmailed her into living in his house and eventually marrying him. He takes the brother under his wing, and surprisingly, this turns out to be a good thing for both of them.

Just when things look like they might even out and both parties are adjusting to the new marriage, enter Kyle's older ex-girlfriend Dulcie, ready to weave her spiderweb and stir her brewing pot of jealously. Will Alexandra be able to handle the pressure? Will true love find it's home in the hearts of our hero and heroine? Read the book!

An older book but most enjoyable. Patricia Wilson is the BEST!
