Not the best price for this product; I purchased it elsewhere. The Igloo brand name attracted me, but when it arrived I discovered that this is made in China and distributed by a Canadian company that licensed the Igloo brand. Would it have made a difference if I'd discovered this while shopping? Possibly. However, it's too late now. So far (after about a month), the product meets expectations: the design is simple, compact, and unobtrusive. No bells and whistles, which is fine with me: You turn a tiny dial to set temp -- but there's no LED readout showing what the temp is, so you have to experiment. Minimum setting seems fine for keeping red wine around 60 F--will vary depending on where you put it, ambient temp, etc. If you want the wine colder, no problem: turn the dial. There's a tiny light built into the temp control switch, but it's too little light to be useful. The unit seems solid, but only time will tell, of course, if it really is durable. If you're buying one of these for the first time, it's a good choice. If you're a wine lover who's had one before, you'll likely have higher expectations, and will have to spend more money.
