Very addicting game, very easy to play and smooth! I haven't found any problems at all.... hopefully it will stay that way.

This mediocre game waists so much space. It takes a wopping 16 and a half megabytes and all you do is move back and forth and shoot. The graphics are just ok but for the amount of space it takes they should be better. You CANNOT store the game on the sd card and that ruins it.

The controls are real bad. It should use multi-touch so you can move and shoot at the same time. And what's with not being able to move a 16Mb game to the SD card. Really? (I did, however, read a response from a company rep (DinoSawU aka Chris) to a post saying that they are working on "an update that resolves [the] SD card issue in a few hours." We'll see.) Also, being able to quit the app without having to force close it manually would be nice. With no quit option and the back-key not working, the only choice is the home-key, throwing the app into the background still running. Oops! Load time was a bit slow, but not intolerable. One last thing, aimed directly at the developers--please, please, please make Open Feint optional!!! Don't even let it load unless asked for. It wastes memory space, drops junk files on the SD card, and just generally sucks.

I'm giving the app 2 stars (instead on 1) because it didn't force close and I was able to play it somewhat. It didn't lag on my EVO, but the game wasn't very exciting either. Maybe if they fix the game controls, it will get better (though I'm guessing that's not a "few hours" fix).

Uninstalling for now, but I'll keep my eye out for an update.

Update 10/13/11:

The SD card issue has been resolved. The app internal memory usage goes from 16.18Mb to 0.92Mb after the move--not too bad. And the back-key quit method does now work. The other issues mentioned still need addressing.

I gave this game another (longer) play. Where World I runs smoothly, World II is where the graphics began to lag some for me. Sometimes while loading World II the screen got stuck on the walking Raptor, though at that point it looked more like he was break dancing--"he" just kept skipping back and forth.

The title says it all, it freezes on the loading screen on my droid 3. I would love to review the actual game play, but all this app acts as on my device is a rather lame advertisement for custard square.

Just got Raptor Rage as the free app of the day. I like this game. The graphics are bright and vibrant. The farm animal graphics are quirky and fit into the theme of this game. This reminds me of that old game in the arcade where you were a guy with a spear gun popping huge bubbles bouncing around the screen. When he popped a bubble, it would break into two smaller bubbles. To clear a screen he had to finish popping all the smaller bubbles.

This game is the same type, but instead you have different farm animals bouncing around the screen. You swipe your finger left and tap the screen to shot from the backpack of Ricky the Raptor. It can be difficult to get Ricky to move in precise movements back and forth to dodge the farm animals, especially when there are a lot of enemies on the screen. I find it easier to play this on my larger tablet screen instead of my smartphone. I noticed that this game has long loading times. The dev should consider adding an option to use on screen buttons and a way to exit the game. Right now, I have to go into Task Manager and end Raptor Rage manually.

This game plays on my Samsung Vibrant and HTC Flyer.

If controlling a character that seems to be shooting spitballs off the top of its head at ball-shaped animals that bounce and when hit split into smaller ball-shaped versions of their larger selves can be called 'challenging and entertaining' than this game fits the bill.

The story/plot seems to be that the character you control walks though something resembling a park or a farm but at every step these ball-shaped animals keep bouncing and if not shot will land on top of 'you' and force you to retry that level. If you shoot them all down then you move to the next level. Clever. If you do well you can pick temporary upgrades such as better guns or a shield.

The game runs well on a XOOM and it plays well with a stylus. The graphics and the animation are sharp and the controls - swipe to move your character right left and tap to shoot - are responsive. As for the artistic merit... not so high.

The game supports OpenFeint and you can Tween, Facebook or YouTube your achievements if you feel like it.

I was actually excited to download this game. I love angry birds, cut the rope, and other similar games. And the graphics and music on this game are not bad.
But the graphics and music are the only decent things about this game.
The first time I loaded it, it didn't respond at all and made me force close it. The second time it seriously lagged on both the loading screen and home screen, which was strangely positioned toward the left side of the screen - glitchy. Playing it revealed more bugs and glitches when part of the right side of the screen was duplicating another part of the screen, making it extremely difficult to even play.
Who knows? Maybe my brand new Evo 3D isn't "high end" enough.
But the sad part was that by then I didn't even care about this new major issue. What a boring, uninspired, been-there-done-that kind of game. Wow. Really unbelievable.
