The War That Forged a Nation
Pulitzer Prize-winning historian James M. McPherson looks anew at the reasons America's civil war has remained a subject of intense interest for the past century and a half. Learn more
This book tells you the story of what the cavalary horse had to endure in the war from the horse's prospective. How much he had to endure in hardships, because he or she was in the army through no fault of his own. His life expectency after entering the cavalary, etc. Other books only talk about the soldier's hardships, never the horses. If you read this book, you will know the horse's side of the story. After all, the horse was the reason there was a cavalry in the first place. The horse's story deserves to be told. A very good book. I couldn't put it down.Custer's Horses
