3.0 out of 5 stars Not much traction.
This is much larger than I expected. It is definitely comfortable but I don't feel much traction or still point induction. I will use again when my neck acts up and see if it helps.

5.0 out of 5 stars Stillpoint Heaven, July 28, 2010

As a Cranial Therapist I am always looking for self-help tools for both myself and my clients. For those of you who are familiar with the Upledger Stillpoint Inducers, this product is a gentler more comfortable addition to this type of self treatment tools. It cradles my head perfectly and allows me to drift off into the "stillness" that I find to be so valuable in neutralizing the everyday stress syndrome of modern day life. Well worth the price!

This product does an excellant job in relaxing the muscles in the neck. It's very soft and easy to use. It's not a cure all for neck pain, but is very helpful. I use it twice a day for about 15 minutes each time.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very comfy, supportive device!, January 19, 2011

I purchased this for myself as I have a "reverse curve" of the neck and TMJ. I go to my chiropractor twice a week, but for a little extra help at home, I lay on this device every night for about 20 minutes. It's very comfortable, and it does help to relax all the muscles in your neck, jaw, etc. I can feel the gentle curving action so I believe over time, this may benefit me and start to retrain my neck into going back to a more natural curve. It's too early to say. But for those who are thinking of buying it and wondering if it's, A. comfortable to lay on, B. supportive and C. feels like it's doing something, I say "yes" to all three!

The only downside is the bottom of it is very slick and if you are laying on carpet (as I am), it can slip around if you don't lie very still. My solution is to just brace the back of it up against a sturdy piece of furniture and then lay you head back into it. Or, you could put some anti-skid material on the bottom, as long as it's not too thick and messes up the ability of the device to lay perfectly flat on the ground (for your best alignment!)

I recommend it!

4.0 out of 5 stars Not a bad product, December 27, 2011

The pillow was delivered by the date they gave me. When I tried the Omni cervical pillow on myself, it did nothing for me as far as traction or stretching. However, it is comfortable. I use it on my massage clients all the time since that's why I purchased it. Some of my clients even purchased the pillow for themselves. It's expensive for a foam pillow. You get the full effect of this pillow if you have a longer neck. On the pillow are two points that support your occipital (where the base of your skull meets your neck). That feels good and relieves the pressure of the weight of your head on your neck all day. I do recommend it, but try and find it cheaper than $40.00. Amazon gave free shipping at the time, so that helped.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great solution for multiple issues!, October 28, 2011

My craniosacral therapist highly recommended this pillow to me. When I balked at spending the money, she let me use hers during a session. I liked it so much that I ordered my own the next day. This pillow cradles my head and neck with just the right amount of firmness, provides great pain relief for my occasionally tight muscles in the cervical area, and helps my migraine symptoms. My husband has severe arthritis fusing in his neck, and thinks this pillow is the perfect solution for him as well. We'll probably have to order a second one soon!

I have a fairly straight cervical spine. I sleep with various neck pillows that provide support. I often feel like I need to relax on something like this or the Real-Ease Neck and Shoulder Relaxer. I purchased the former because the latter had mixed reviews and complaints of its cheap quality plastic were many. For me, this pillow would be more effective if either 1) the depression holding my head was deeper or 2) the hump supporting my neck was taller. As it is now, it's a comfortable experience, lying on the floor with it, but my neck isn't supported as much as I would like. Of course this is dependent on my specific anatomy, so its effectiveness may be different for others.

I love this little pillow... The quality of this product exceeded my expectations. I purchased a few other items to relieve neck pain and they were a disappointment... This pillow was worth the purchase. Pefect for watching tv, movies or laying on floor. (:

5.0 out of 5 stars thumbs up, August 11, 2010

Does exactly what it's advertised to do. I didn't want to do the "over-the-door" traction and this was a good alternative for me.
