This tailgate was a replacement for the one the Chevy dealer ordered for us when we purchased our 2500HD pickup.
It is so superior to that one that we give it 5 stars, even though the price was only $100 more. It fits PERFECTLY, and latches as securely as the factory tailgate. The weight is slightly less than the factory tailgate. It has the added advantage that we can rest heavy things like gas bottles, or hitch parts on it momentarily as we load and unload them. It supports up to 250 pounds. It is all metal, no plastic, and the welds look very secure. The louvers reach completely across and are welded at each end, with vertical bracing rods welded 1/4th and 3/4ths the width. We're extremely happy with this replacement.
