What can you say about a tool bag? However, the fabric on this one appears to be 'sturdy' and should hold up well. However, unlike the photo on the webpage that makes it appear that you get a 'chasm' of storage area, you actually lose 'somewhat' of the useable space when you zipper-it-up, and it collapses down to an almost 'pyramid' shape near the TOP portion of the bag. But it still has a good deal of useable storage. Note: I haven't really 'field-tested' it over time, so consider my review with a healthy skepticism.

First of all, the color of the bag was different than the photo on the page. The bag is almost all black, except for a dark teal behind the outside pockets. I actually prefer these colors to the tan/black bag that was shown in the photo. This bag has a lot of room for the size, which is twelve inches. I am a network administrator, so I do not use very many large tools.

The inside of the bag has 12 pockets that hold my screwdrivers. I have some small precision drivers that are so small that up to 4 of them can fit inside one screwdriver pocket. These screwdriver pockets also have a stair-step design (each pocket is taller than the previous pocket) to allow for smaller or larger driver storage. There are three pockets inside that are the same width and height as the 3 outside pockets, which you should be able to see in the product photo (the tan and black bag). The final two inside pockets are the full width of the bag and are not as tight as the other pockets; they are handy for storing various small things like modular plugs or possibly screws.

The bag is made of a sturdy material, possibly a heavy vinyl. This material is thick and rough on the outside of the bag and smooth on the inside of the bag. The bag shrinks at the top to form a triangle on the width of the bag upon the closing of the bag. The way it opens kind of reminds me of the old town Doctor's black tool bag that he would bring for a home visit, which you may see in some black and white movies or television shows.

Overall, I am extremely pleased with the quality of this product. Had I not been so pleased with this purchase, I would not want to take the time to write this review. I paid around $15 for this product and it was well worth it.

Main storage: I only carry around 100' of networking cable with me, but I would be able to fit a few hundred more in it if I wanted to. A 12v drill may fit in this bag, but some of the larger cordless drills may be tight or may not fit. If the height of the bag in the product dimensions is smaller than the length or height of the drill, without the battery, your cordless drill will not fit in this bag.

I have owned many CLC bags over the years and had to recently purchase this bag as a smaller bag to use as a communications tech. This bag is the highest quality bag out there that you can find. It offers a multitude of storage possibilites in a convenient small sized bag. CLC products have never let me down in the past and that is why I have stuck with this brand. If given the opportunity to use a different brand, I just wouldn't even consider moving away from CLC products.
