This is a great bag. I was looking for something in size between a long contractor size and a small gate-mouth size - this is perfect. I did away with the center plastic tray and instead keep my 18v Milwaukee drill in the center compartment - fits perfectly laid on its top and the battery off. This bag will hold alot though. Its very easy to carry loaded and well organized. CLC makes product that last so i suspect this bag will be with me for awhile. It could use a pad on the shoulder strap - but that was easily fixed. The bottom is wide enough to discourage spills. One thing you have to remember with an open- top bag like this is where you set it. Behind the miter saw and you have a bag full of sawdust (of course, you could move the bag to anothet spot also). CLC should include a snap cover for those moments you'd like the top to be covered. Again...a great bag.

Great bag. Excellent quality and perfect size. Not too big or small. Only gripe is that the straps inside the big compartments are a bit small for anything. I mean the straps to keep certain tools upright. At least for me, they are useless. Overall I am very happy with the purchase.

update: After using this bag for some time. I am retiring it as a main bag and re purposing it as a gadget bag. Too small, just does not work as an everyday tool bag. It collapses in on itself. Tools get caught. May work for others but not for the tools that I use regularly.

This tool bag rocks. The plastic parts container is large (very helpful for a home theater installer) I put ALOT of crap in my toolbags and this one is holding up better than a larger $50 husky bag ( handle tore )and a smaller maguire nichols (three pockets got holes in them) and the center container is very large and holds alot. I can even keep an 18volt hammerdrill in this bag full time. Special care must be taken as the lid on that center container does not stay flush , so it doesn't seal all the little compartments very well. Storing it clasp down helps to keep stuff from mingling within compartments. I plan to glue a thin peice of foam to the inside of the lid to solve this completely. Needs 4-6 more pockets (it's smaller brother has 9 more pockets) and the tall skinny pockets that are just right for pencils and a specialized bit or two are on the wrong side of the bag. ( a very small quibble ) These things kept me from giving this bag 5 stars. But the first few points make this the best toolbag I've ever used.( I've had about 5 different bags and I am very hard on them.

I'm a professional contractor and I have used this tool bag daily on the job since Feb 2010. It fits great behind my truck seat with all the standard tools, and it is the first thing I reach for when arriving on a job site. The pockets/pouches are laid out in a uniform manner allowing me freedom to arrange my tools in the order I prefer. It is made with high quality materials and can take everyday abuse. If you have been looking for a GREAT tool bag, then shop no more. You will be pleased.

I am working as a helper. Usually I used regular bag without pockets. I needed a good bag, strong bag for plumbing tools. I was surprised how strong this bag. I put all heavy wrenches,pipe cutter.I love this bag, its make job easier. I don't have to run to the truck every time to pick up the tools we forget. All in one strong, good quality bag. Thank you.

It was a perfect Christmas gift. I do lots of fix-it projects around the house, and find it very annoying to lug heavy tool boxes around. The tool tote has room for everything with lots of pockets.

I HAVE BEEN A MECHANIC FOR 23 YEARS AND WENT TO A SOFT BAG ABOUT 7 YEARS AGO. ALL I CAN SAY ABOUT THIS BAG IS IT IS THE BEST BAG I EVER USED. I HAVEN'T LOST A TOOL YET, WHICH IS A PROBLEM IN SOME(ALL) THE OTHER BAGS I HAVE USED. THE BAG IS VERY TIGHT AT FIRST SO YOU HAVE TO BREAK IT IN. EVERY MECHANIC HAS HIS OR HER WAYS,AND TOOL LINE UP PREFRECE,THIS WILL DETERMIN IF THE BAG IS RIGHT FOR YOU. ALL I CAN SAY IS THAT IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A SOFT TOOL BAG THIS IS SO MUCH A BETTER BAG THAT YOU WILL BUY AT THE USUAL DO IT YOURSELF STORES. WHEN IT COMES DOWN TO IT, ITS JUST A BAG, BUT ITS A GOOD ONE.

I use this for telecom installer toolbag, the plastic container is perfect for ties, jacks, labels, etc. Lots of pouches and room for tools big and small.

Over the years I have accumulated a large number of tools (most of them redundant screwdrivers) and figured it was time to collect them all in one place. Due to the average size of toolboxes I wanted something a little more compact and opted for this bag.

The construction on it is superb and after thoroughly examining it I have no doubt that it will last me for a long time just sitting in the garage and not being carried around everywhere. The size seemed just about right and the middle plastic holder was a great touch allowing me to combine all the various nails, screws and hangers floating around my house as well.

The only warning I would give is that if you are an amateur like me in this area then you will probably go through several different loading attempts as you try and figure out the optimal way to store all your tools. No guide was provided and I oftentimes was left wondering how I could evenly distribute everything the way I wanted.

I just got this tool bag but haven't started putting stuff in. I will be using it as my tool bag for jewelry making. I've started teaching jewelry making at the Y and needed something compact but could also store some beads. When I saw this bag with the tackle box included I just had to get it. So far its the most compact one I've seen that included a tackle box that could fit most of the basic beads and findings I need for class. The material looks really sturdy and there are lots of pockets and hooks for all my tools. Can't wait to fill it up and use it!
