I wanted another bag for lunch with a long strap--I ride a motorcycle to work and work in construction. This seemed like a pretty ideal product, at least looking at the pictures. The separate cooler pouch seemed like a good idea, and most of the contents of my usual lunch box do not need to be kept cool, and would probably squish most lunch items.

It turns out that the bag is a little too bulky to comfortably carry with the strap slung around one's neck. And the pockets are pretty great, but there ought to be a fairly large interior pocket to put little reference books and papers in. Partly to separate them from potential coffee thermos leaks. I have stuffed tools in the main compartment, but the shoulder strap despite the brass-y hardware does not look like it can hold a whole lot of hardware. The hand straps on either side are sturdily attached, and generally a durable product.

The Pocket Tote/Cooler Bag arriver a few days after I ordered it. Very Prompt! It was NIB as stated. I am using the Tote/Cooler Bag as a console on the bench seat of my pickup truck. Fits perfect and holds alot more than my old console.The smaller compartment of the cooler bag holds the larger bottles and insulates them far better than the standard cup holders.The bag has lots of pockets but they too small inside.If they were to place the same larger pockets that they have on the long exterior side on both sides it would be more driver friendly. I work thirteen-hour days, and wanted a lunch bag that would hold all my meals and snacks. Before purchasing this, I checked the measurements carefully, and thought I had a good idea of just how large it was. When it arrived, though, I was a bit taken aback by just how big this thing is -- it's like carrying a small piece of luggage! It might work great for some folks, but for me it's too large for daily use, and so I ended up ordering the Fit and Fresh tote instead, which is a much better size for my needs.

I downgraded this review to four stars not because of the size (since that was my fault for not thinking through the measurements), but more because that awful smell it came with still hasn't gone away. We've used this as a cooler twice now, and it still has a funky scent to it. Additionally, the inside pockets are much too small to be practical, and the shoulder strap, as another reviewer mentioned, is off-set, so it tends to slip off the shoulder.

Overall, I'd give this 3 1/2 stars.

I bought one of these on a retail closeout about 7 years ago, and I've bought several more since. My main reason for initially purchasing this bag had to do with the excellent price and the dimensions being just within the maximum of what my employer allows staff to bring inside at work. The interior main compartment pouches are the perfect size for holding medicine bottles, pens, eyeglass cleaner, et cetera. As a range bag, the inside pouches neatly store my pistol magazines with plenty of room left over in the main compartment for all my shooting accessories. Of course, there's the insulated lunchbox portion of the bag. This is just like any softside cooler, big enough for three 24-oz bottles of pop, or three 12oz cans and a couple of sandwiches on top. If I ever get wind that CLC intends to stop making this model, I will certainly buy several more extras to last me for the rest of my life. My first bag wore out only now, after just more than 7 years of use. Properly maintained and treated appropriately, there is no reason why this bag won't last for many years for the average user!

If you have a need to store your work supplies and lunch, this bag is a necessity! Pockets galore, tons of space, AND a compartment for your lunch! Must have for the working person!

My job requires tough travel conditions and these bags are a great size for enough food in the big section. A full size thermos (without drinking cup) will fit inside laying down "on top of my cooler". The smaller section will hold a full size walkie talkie, lantern and insulated work gloves with spare batteries. The side pocket will fit a small binocular, the end pocket is billfold and key's.
As usual the plastic zippers never last through tough conditions but will tolerate normal travel and they will fix themselves a reasonable number of times. All four of my bags are still in service carrying rope, jumper cables, and tools, so the canvas and straps and D rings are good (very good). I don't use the included strap I purchased a different anatomic curve pad strap due to how much weight the bag carries.
There will be a number five bag after number four wears out because the price of purchase is so reasonable. If I could wish anything it would be a bag two inches longer, then the zippers would last longer.

I am on my second one. The first one had lasted almost 7 years of every day abuse. It always has 20-30lb's of tools and equipment in it as well as my lunch. Plenty of room for everything I would need in a day. The zippers work smooth and the handles are super strong.
