4.0 out of 5 stars Don't use top strap!!!!
I have had a pair of these for about 10 years. I have had them on all day when laying tile and they are great if you don't use the top strap. The top strap cuts into the back of the thigh and cuts off circulation. The bottom strap doesn't have to be tight as my jeans hold the knee pads up. I have tried several type of knee protectors and this is the only one I can...

1.0 out of 5 stars Not for me
I have a pair of these kneepads.....ouch!! The straps cut into the back of my knees so bad that I have to take them off after about 45 min. Buy something else. I wish I could get my money back on these.

I'm not too thrilled with the straps - I may just be an odd size, but I find that they're either too loose or too tight. Obviously that varies by person. Aside from that, they're very comfortable. The outer shell is soft enough so you don't have to worry about scuffing up wood floors, but solid enough to give you real protection from dropped screws, protruding nail heads, and all the other little items that can really make your knees miserable.

They give good firm support, not much "rolling" or sliding around in them.

Every time I put them on though, the first thought that goes through my mind is "haven't these people heard of velcro". If they had it, I'd rate them a 5

Great knee pads. This is a classic set of knee pads that doesn't impliment velcro which i can't stand. I like these straps because i can just strap the bottom one and it stays put. If i use the top strap it does dig in to the crook of the back of my knee which is almost exlusive to knee pads; especially those with velcro.

4.0 out of 5 stars Knee-savers! Good knee pads, January 2, 2010

I used my son's pair for a home renovation project - wow! They are great; I cannot stand to be on my bare knees for even a second, but with these pads I could work all day. I was amazed. I do agree the strap system could be better, but I was very impressed with the comfort factor, especially for the price. If the strap system was better, I'd rate them 5 stars. One of the rubber knobs broke off, so I can only use one strap anyway on one of the pads now.
