QFD, the Customer-Driven Approach to Quality Planning and Deployment [Hardcover]

Shigeru Mizuno (Other Contributor), Yoji Akao (Author)

Out of Print--Limited Availability.

Book Description

January 1994
This definitive guide to quality function deployment (QFD), long overdue in English translation, presents the original statement on QFD by its masters. QFD is a powerful tool for implementing a market-in approach to product design, manufacture, and service, for building in customer-demanded quality, and for ensuring that products - and organizations - will succeed in the marketplace.

Through this text, the authors communicate the correct methods and applications for QFD, which has been incompletely used and misapplied because of loose interpretations of their previous works on QFD.

The book has been rewritten and expanded since its original publication in Japanese, to include a complete picture of QFD and to cover recent approaches and future issues. It includes the final contributions of the great teacher Dr. Mizuno to the field.

This comprehensive and authoritative text is a must for both serious students and experienced practitioners of QFD.
