Colorful Kachina Dolls,
By A Customer
This review is from: Cut and Make Kachina Dolls (Paperback)
This book contains three colorful cut and make replicas of Kachina dolls along with a brief background explanation. The Crow mother, from the new year ceremony,Pussy Willow,a guard for the new year ceremony and Eagle,a participant in early March festivals, are examples of Hopi kachinas. The book provides an explanation of how to cut and assemble each doll. Both the diagrams and the written instructions are very detailed and easy to follow. The directions are so explicit that they insure success. However this is not a project for young children and even middle school children will need some adult guiudance.

Cut-out paper dolls,

This review is from: Cut and Make Kachina Dolls (Paperback)
I wasn't sure if this book taught you how to carve katchinas out of wood so I took a chance. It doesn't. It is simply a booklet with 3 paper dolls for you to cut out and glue together. It would make a nice elementary school social studies project.
