The good:
- The knife is much more beautiful than shown in the picture. The photo posted by Amazon is bad. The photo posted in the Cutco website look better, but the real knife is much more beatiful.
- The knife is thin and sharp.
The bad:
- If you are looking for a forged knife, you will be disappointed. This is a stamped knife.

I make a lot of salads and cut a lot of melons and fruit and I must say my old knifes which I thought were "sharp" do NOT compare with this knife. It cuts carrots with ease not to mention cantaloupes and watermelons...Cutco knifes are the best! Maybe $$$$ but WORTH EVERY PENNY..

This is an awesome knife! Cuts anything like butter! Holds up forever! What more would you want from a knife? I always thought you had to go through a Cutco dealer, that's how we got our first couple knives. But I guess they're leaking out somehow. I sure hope these aren't Chinese counterfeits! The Chinese seem to be counterfeiting just about every quality made product on the market these days! You have to be VERY careful and only buy from trusted retailers. And Amazon is NOT one of those trusted retailers, as many have stated, that Amazon has little control over what is sold on their website. I've seen a few known counterfeit items on Amazon, and many on ebay!

This knife has never failed yet. It gets dull over time, but, it doesn't happen for awhile. I recommend not to slice meat with this knife as it isn't design for it and will wear out quicker.

I use it for slicing my vegetables and just that only. The blade is so sharp and I like the way the handle feels in your hand. Surgical steel, straight edge blade, and keep in mind buy this once and if anything happens to the knife. Do contact their customer service and they'll set you up to send in your knife to get a replacement if it does break on you for any reason.

My whole family loves this knife and will be passed on from generation to generation.

Cutco makes the best knives and the perfect size is the petite chef. Great for cutting vegetables and fruits, can also be used for meats and bread and anything else you need cut. A great all around knife - if you can only own one knife, pick the Cutco petite chef.

Great! A pleasure to use.A dull knife makes food prep difficult and dangerous. The Cutco knife makes it easy. Excellent product and value.

You don't know how bad your knife is until you get a cutco. EVERYTHING cuts like its butter. I'm hoping to buy more knives soon.

I just wish they sold these straight from the company with occasional discounts so I could afford to get more.

I use to have near a complete set having sold them twenty years ago. These knives withstand the test of time, the ones that I do have I have only sharpened at most once, and I cook a lot.
