Recently purchased both a ROKU and Chromecast so I needed two powered USB ports but my TV had only one. Chose this model splitter because of the power transfer description.

Received the splitter right away and worked as I planned. I can power both devices from the TV without having to use 110 and power converter.

I have a MacBook Pro with 2 USB slots next to each other.

When the device is plugged into one of the slots it's not small enough to allow the other USB on my MacBook to be used. I was hoping it would be so it didn't suit me.

Nice to see such a small device match quality with design, it beautifully matches all my iPhone chargers and other apple devices. It works well for me when using an optical mouse with a usb thumb drive at the same time. This used to require annoying swapping while I wanted to read / write files. The CuteUSB handled everything I threw at it, even a self-powered hard drive. Even so, you should keep in mind your power requirements for the devices you use.

I bought this as a small USB hub for my Macbook Pro. It only has 2 USB ports and I wanted one more. I use this device to plug in a keyboard and my external USB drive. It's tiny so it fits in well between my Thunderbolt port and my audio jack.

Note that since this is a bus powered HUB, it does what it's supposed to and won't do things like charge your iPhone. It's no different than trying to plug your iphone into your external keyboard USB ports. They won't have the power. You have to have a powered hub for that or direct attach.

This works great to have my mouse receiver and headphones receiver going at the same time in one port. It gets hot, though. Not like other ports, this thing really heats up. Even when the devices are not it use, it's hot. You won't burn yourself but it is hot enough to make you wonder if everything is OK. But, so far so good...

I kept finding myself needing just ONE more port on my Raspberry Pi. This little bugger did the trick. With the Pi Sitting on the tabletop this will, when inserted into the top USB port, add a second port. The ports will be aligned vertically while the lowerUSB port is still oriented horizontally.

Works with the iPad 2 and the Apple Camera Connection Kit to allow devices such as an external USB DAC to operate in conjunction with a USB battery.

I bought this for my Surface Pro 3 which only has a single USB port. A single port is all I usually need (for a mouse), but for the times when I need to plug in another device while away from the docking station, this works perfectly. It's so compact I can leave it in and really never notice it. If you only need a couple of ports for a tablet, then this is the one you want.

Very compact and nicely made. I use it together with a OTG mini USB adapter in order to have two USB ports on an ASUS T100 tablet. Works great.

Bought this to see if I could have a USB hard drive (2.5", single cable) with all my songs on it plugged in to the center arm rest along with a USB flashlight (Nightcore P25) charging at the same time. Happy to report that USB voltage was sufficient to power the USB drive and charge the flashlight. Plan on buying another one as soon as they come back in stock.
