4.0 out of 5 stars Looking for a 70 amp breaker?, September 14, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Cutler Hammer CH270 Circuit Breaker, 2-Pole 70-Amp (Tools & Home Improvement)
Well, I did all the work of wiring my new workshop with wiring that would support 70 amps; but, then it turned out that Home Depot and Lowes only carry 60 or 100 amp breakers for the Cutler Hammer box that supplies my house.

Fortunately, Amazon carries this 70-amp 2-pole breaker - and it fit perfectly into the electrical supply box.

Although this product functions perfectly, I'm docking a star simply because of the price. The breakers that are available locally are literally about half the price as of the time I'm writing this review. I probably should have driven to an electrical supply store to see if they have one in stock - but Amazon is just so convenient...

1.0 out of 5 stars Not new product, June 17, 2009
This review is from: Cutler Hammer CH270 Circuit Breaker, 2-Pole 70-Amp (Tools & Home Improvement)
The 70 amp breaker arrived in a nicely padded box. That's the end of the good review. The breaker trip bar cover was broken (the piece of plastic that overs both switches so they throw at the same time.) If the bottom side trips, the top will not get pulled along with it.

On further inspection, this is not a new breaker. There are obvious signs of wear at the circuit connection, main bus connection which was also bent, and the J-hook ends. The sides are also scuffed where it rubbed up against other breakers.

Very disappointed... being returned.
