Read the Ghost of Cutler Creek! (the best book in the world),
A Kid's Review
This review is from: The Ghost of Cutler Creek (Ghost Mysteries) (Hardcover)
This book is the best. First you have to read the first two books, The Ghost of Fossil Glen and The Ghost and Mrs.Hobbs, which are also the best books in the world. Allie comes back to face another ghost. Is this one evil or good? How can she tell if the ghost can only bark, whimper and fetch. Yup, Allie's new ghost is a dog. Once her teacher, Mr.Henry asks her to dog sit his dog Hoover, Hoover disappeares. Is the death of the ghost dog, the disappearence of Hoover and the deaths of the puppies at the local pound connected? To find out read this book!

Great Ghost Read with a Humane Side,
By
This review is from: The Ghost of Cutler Creek (Ghost Mysteries) (Paperback)
I love books written by Cynthia DeFelice. I've always been a fan of ghost stories so hers are perfect for me to recommend to my students. Allie is a young girl who hears and sees ghosts. No one believes her except her friend Dub. This time she is haunted by a whine that sounds like a dog. How in the world is she to help a ghost dog if he can't speak to her? Her fears that it is a dog is validated when her brother must be taken to the hospital with an allergic reaction to something. The only thing he is allergic to is dogs. That is why they don't have one. Allie and Dub set out to try to help the dog and find out that not all so called dog lovers and sellers truly are dog lovers. For some it is all about the money. Read "The Ghost of Cutler Creek" and find out how this mystery is solved. It is the perfect book for those who love ghost mysteries but not the ones that leave them with nightmares.

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: The Ghost of Cutler Creek (Ghost Mysteries) (Paperback)
I purchased this book because it was on the HEAR (Humane education awareness through reading) recommended reading list. I am a HEAR volunteer as well as a teammate of my dogs in a pet therapy READ program. It is an engaging story with an excellent message woven throughout. It's a bit long and involved for my purpose, but for the kids in your life (or even for you adults) - it's a hit!
