The first two levels were enough to drive me away.,

This review is from: Cutthroat Island (Video Game)
I saw this game. I thought, "Hey. Pirates are cool." I tried it out. The first level has you moving up and down a flat surface in the "Final Fight" vein, and you can swordfight the enemy. I thought, "Hey, this game rocks." Then I fought the first boss. He has a sword with a rifle attached at the top. No sweat, I'll just dodge the bullets. Nope. They fix it so you can dodge the bullets, you're stuck in front of his fire. And you can't jump and avoid it, you'll get shot any way. If you manage to kill him you get to a mine-cart level that was ripped straight out of Donkey Kong Country. However, you have no lives, and if you hit so much as a lump of dirt you die. And that's it. Game over. I thought, "Hey, this game blows." |
