From Grove Press Guide to Blues on CD
Stirred by two horns and a rhythm section, the San Francisco Bay Area club favorite lets fly with exciting guitar licks suggestive of B. B.'s and Albert King's. His well-plotted singing style, groomed band, and constricted arrangements contradict the claim of the title. Cain wrote all thirteen songs, none an eye-opener. -- © Frank John Hadley 1993

This CD, like all Chris Cain CD, is EXCELLENT. A great blending of the blues and jazz, with original song writing, unmatched guitar playing, a unique singing voice, and a top-notch horns section. Definitely recommended.

As always, Chris Cain shows his talent and versatility in this wonderful CD. Too bad he doesn't do CDs more often, he is truly a master of blues guitar and vocals. Way too good!!

I just saw Chris Cain Band live in San Francisco and he's a fantastic musician. A five star preformance. This CD really captures the quality of his playing and I do recommend it! This is a five star CD!
