The soundtrack is great - full of memorable songs from the movie (though noticeably missing Chris Isaak's Diddley Daddy). And the instrumental tracks are wonderful as well, though I was disappointed to find that they all seem to be 60-90 second snippets rather than "fuller" versions.Just a personal opinion, but I was really hoping for some longer versions of the instrumental pieces from this movie as those were some of my favorite. But I shouldn't complain. I'm just glad they finally offered this. Great for any big fan of this movie.

This is just what I expected. A wonderful Cd to compliment the movie. I liked that it had the soundtrack and score seperated. I love the songs. Great CD. Thanks again.

"soundtrack & a wonderful score ~ Patrick Williams",
This review is from: The Cutting Edge (Deluxe Edition) (Audio CD)
Varese Records presents "The Cutting Edge", featuring a deluxe edition of the original soundtrack and film score...set in a backdrop of Olympic figure skating competition featuring Moira Kelly the spoiled want your own way prima donna, with a hockey player D.B. Sweeney who has been hand picked to fill in as her new partner...should be very interesting...check out the next paragraph for the songs and cues. Some stand outs are "SHAME, SHAME, SHAME", featuring Johnny Winter from 1991..."I'VE GOT DREAMS TO REMEMBER", with Delbert McClinton from 1989..."FEELS LIKE FOREVER (theme from The Cutting Edge)", featuring Joe Cocker from 1992...three legends perform songs from their songbooks during the peak of their careers. The film score duties were given to composer, arranger and big band extraordinare Patrick Williams...more than capable to reflect the times with blends of '80s hard rock "BATTLE OF THE CDs"...then we fall back into the '40s with early big band "CHICAGO PRACTICES"...we're off to the Russian dances with a wonderful arrangement and performance of "THE RUSSIANS SKATE"...get ready for the disco trend setters with "FINALE"...each cue stands alone with Williams at the helm. Total Time: 63:49 on 22 Tracks ~ Varese Records 66172 ~ (10/05/2004)

I bought this CD for one song. I was annoyed that I couldn't purchase the song through I-Tunes. Some songs are ok, but the selection is too diverse for me to like them all.
