I heard Amy on an interview with Opie and Anthony and decided to download the album. I have to say, I laughed pretty much the entire way through. Her style is very fun and she has a lot of crowd interaction, which even though you are not there, you can easily visualize. If you like crude humor, this is for you. If you are offended easily, I'm not even sure how you ended up here.

Recorded in ComedyWorks in that still up-and-coming town of Denver, Colorado, up-and-coming comedian Amy Schumer cuts her debut disc "Cutting". Comprised of about 70% Sex & 30% Racism, Amy puts out a strong debut disc full of below the belt hits (some groan-inducing and some that hit that sweet spot). She plays sorta ditzy, sorta sex-crazed and while shock comedy is kind of played out nowadays in the age of 4chan and reddit, Amy still taps that well, well, well. While Amy gets the majority of her laughs with raunchy, push-the-boundaries observations, about half of her punchlines are to be found in the throwaway asides and second beat additions she tacks on to the end of the more traditional joke deliveries. She plays with the audience and uses them intelligently for extra laughs. The standout track "Jews" I think is the one that sums up Amy's style and the album as a whole. With people like Patty Griffin and Joan Rivers still front and center in flying the funny female flag (how are they still alive), Amy Schumer seems like one to watch for the future. As long as she stays clear of the sickle cell, of course.

I got on Amazon and downloaded this after watching Amy for the first time on The Charlie Sheen Roast. She was the stand out performer for me, if you like Stanhope, Louis or Anthony Jesselnik you'll love this. VERY GOOD 5/5

Meh
Amy schumer is very funny person but I'm just not into this album. The material is a little too sexual for my taste, but I'm not knocking Amy because her delivery is spot on.
