5.0 out of 5 stars Not A Typical D.U. Release, Which Is Why I Love It
Every Digital Underground album has been kind of an experience for me, with this one being no different. It's not "typical" but if you stack any two discs from their catalog side-by-side its almost impossible to make direct comparisons. 3.0 out of 5 stars A Lackluster Effort
As a 20-year fan of Digital Underground, I was excited for one last chance to jump on the D-Flow Shuttle. But unfortunately, most of the tracks on this CD fail to live up to DU's previous efforts. The P-funk feel just isn't there outside of a few tracks like "Cali Boogie", while the main members like Shock-G and Money-B mostly make way for the newer members who don't...

Every Digital Underground album has been kind of an experience for me, with this one being no different. It's not "typical" but if you stack any two discs from their catalog side-by-side its almost impossible to make direct comparisons. You thought Sex Packets was too freaky or sexual... then don't even mess with Bodyhat Syndrome. You thought Sons of the P was too deep or not hard-hitting enough, then you'll love Future Rhythm. If you thought Who Got The Gravy was their best album ever, then I doubt you love the EP Release, and so on. "Cuz A d.u. Party Don't Stop!" is a fun listen because there are many exposed sides of this group. Their More Manure song is some typical loopy Shock G silly stuff, while the hard hitting Who's Bumpin cut is their first-ever super fast "dance" track. Meeheadsoon is another kick-in-the pants while All About You and Everything Ya Done For Me are more on the serious tip. Blue Skyy shows off that typical Shock G flair for production, with tight Cali-driven lyrics and the guitarist used on many Tupac tracks. The live cuts on this album are almost a bonus experience never-before had. So no... this isn't a typical Digital Underground release. But I think after all these years, they've showed us that there's NO SUCH THING! Get it... or get gone!

5.0 out of 5 stars Might be their BEST CD yet!!!, June 7, 2008
This was a little hard to find but I got it. [...]

..CUZ A d.u. PARTY DON'T STOP!

This is one of their best Cd's ever! You can smell the Pfunk all over.

Cali Boogie is a tight track and Eat Boiled Peanuts F-ing funny with some hard hitting Bass. I could go on and on about this CD. If you are a D.U. fan you need to pick this one up. Best Buy does not have this CD for some crazy reason. Makes me wonder what else they don't have that is worth buying.

3.0 out of 5 stars A Lackluster Effort, July 29, 2008
As a 20-year fan of Digital Underground, I was excited for one last chance to jump on the D-Flow Shuttle. But unfortunately, most of the tracks on this CD fail to live up to DU's previous efforts. The P-funk feel just isn't there outside of a few tracks like "Cali Boogie", while the main members like Shock-G and Money-B mostly make way for the newer members who don't half the rhyming skills they do. There's also some live sets and a few remixes, but nothing exceptional. This album will only please fans of the group, as newcombers will hear little of legendary DU funk. So if you've come this far with Humpty Hump then take one more ride and check it out. But for newbies, check out Sex Packets or Future Rhythm to truly hear what this group is about.

3.0 out of 5 stars Nice to see another DU album, July 5, 2008
By
I've been a fan of DU since Sex Packets dropped. That said, I'm not really feelin' this album as a whole. There's kinda three sides to this album, the slightly offbeat but still tight DU that's evolved over the years, a nice set of live performances and a some songs centered around Ecstasy. You could hear the X creepin' in on Shock G's 2004 album "Fear Of A Mixed Planet". I hoped it was just some solo exploration and wouldn't make it into this DU album. I was wrong. Other than that it's a good album with some choice cuts on it, just not the "Body-Hat Syndrome" or "Future Rhythm" jump in style and substance I was hoping for.

Trust me...I have every album they ever made, but this album is just not very good. There are only 2 songs on here worth anything and you can download those for 89 cents each and save yourself the other 7 bucks. All you need is Track #2 - Who's Bumpin'? and Track #8 - Meeheadsoon. The rest is garbage mixed with a pretty lame live show that D.U. did some time in the past? I can't believe Shock records himself doing a live show and instead of putting his all into it...he sounds as if he rather be somewhere else...which is sad because the audience sounded like they were waiting for Shock to bring it and he never did. Then to have the nerve to put that lame live show on this album...really WTF???? The above mentioned tracks represent how talented Shock once was.

Trust...Track #2 & #8 are all you need here.

2.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing CD, August 28, 2008
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I'm a true hard-core DU fan and this CD dissapointed me. In my opinion, there only four (studio) jams I listen to on this CD. The Live Jams are only ok...not off the hook like the other DU jams I'm accustomed to.

3.0 out of 5 stars Please stop the party!, July 31, 2008
Now you can tell from his everyday hits this ain't it...so he should seist and desist with this sh!%....Just another D.U. album that needs to be remixed.....not worth a dollar or even 15 cents.

I'm still a fan though!!!

2.0 out of 5 stars Not a Strong D.U. Release - Buy Fear of a Mixed Planet from Shock G Instead!, June 13, 2008

This review is from: "..Cuz A d.u. Party Don't Stop!!" [Explicit] (MP3 Download)
Being a lover of Digital Underground, this album is a step below what I hvae thought of as their weakest release, the Body Hat Syndrom. This has multiple live tracks and not much of Shock G behind the mic. For $8.99 it is an OK download, but I would look for Shock G's solo release Fear of a Mixed Planet if you don't already own it. It is MUCH stronger and more of what everyone comes to D.U. for.
