I cannot stand this toy. It not only frightens my cats and my dog---it scares me. As I understand, it says, (at extremely loud volume) "Nyah, nyah, nyah, nyah nyah! Uh oh!". It sounds more like, "We're going to kill you! Uh oh!". This seems to have been manufactured by some dark cat toy maker from Evilville who has no understanding of what amuses a cat. Thank you for making my dog hide under the bed!

This is the feline equivalent of the Macarena. It is cute at first, but after about 15 minutes it is really annoying. I only bring this out occasionally because it is so irritating. The problem is that as much I as dislike it, that is how much the cats love it. I find this toy to be a great distraction for the cats when I need to get something done in another part of the house.

Always hide this thing, or turn it off, before you go to bed. It is so loud that it woke both my husband and myself up the first night we had it when the furry babies decided to play with it after midnight.

If the cats run your house, buy this product they will love it. If you are the ruler of your house (congratulations, please tell me your secret!) then leave this product at the pet store, it is darned irritating.

I agree it can be loud and a bit annoying but my pup loves it! Every morning she asks for it and gets to play with it for about half an hour. We have gone through two in as many years so we are getting two more.

Our miniature dachshund finally won the battle of pooch vs. pest. He loves playing with it so much, we just ordered two more. (To paraphrase: It's not just for cats anymore.)

I have one of the most playful cats in the world, and she hated it. I decided to spend 5 bucks on this toy at Wal Mart, and when I got it home to her, she just stared at it and walked away. My friend also has one for her cat, and she had the same results as I did. Don't waste your money. I've found that little stuffed toys filled with catnip are the best gifts in the world for your cat. Cheaper, too.

Initially, my cats were both a bit scared of the loud noises coming from the Cy-Purr Mouse. After their initial alarm, they have shown a complete lack of interest in this toy. The people living in my apartment, myself included, find the noise emitted by this product to be highly annoying (to the extent that I am relieved that the cats dislike it).

so a friend of mine turned this thing on over the phone to just give me a taste of this crazy toy. All I can say is wow... In about 1 minute of listening to this, I knew from that day on that my life would never be the same again. Please think of the kittens and do not purchase this toy!!

This toy will scare your cats and drive you crazy. It makes a loud "Nur nur nur nur nur" and this weird laughing sound (nothing like a mouse). Simply terrible.

The Cy-Purr mouse is amusing, but it is indeed loud. I just had to turn it off for fear my city neighbors would be annoyed, given that everyone has every possible window open in the heat.

If you're wondering what it says, it makes this sortof futuristic chirpy-beepy sound, and says "uh-oh! nyah-nyah nyah nyah nyahhhh nyah!" a time or two, then laughs like a maniacal chipmunk and stops dead.

It does not work well on carpet, even low/no-pile sisal. It moves quite well on hardwood floors, however.

My kitten was disturbed by it at first, then curious, and now mildly wary. I think he might really like it tomorrow. I'm sure different cats will have different responses, but it's amusing to me, so far!

It a great toy but boy they should have included a volume control! The cat doesn't care that it keeps making the same noise over and over and over but it can drive Mom nuts!
