For those who see art work as merely pictures.. Cy Twombly's work is obviously not for them. People don't understand that with some artists.. it's not the work that is the art. It is the artist and their passion. At first I didn't understand his work when I walked into his fifty day exhibit at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. I saw it and thought "What did these people see to put his work in here? If he has this work in the museum.. then maybe I've got a chance." So I decided that I'd sit for a while and try to understand it. And finally I did. His.. pieces aren't the artwork.. it was the passion that was put into them that is the artwork. And passion.. in the art domain.. conquers all, in my opinion.
