Works great to clean up between the keys of my keyboard!

It gets in some areas that Q-tips don't, but Q-tips can pick up some stuck-on dirt, which Cyber Clean doesn't.

On this order I got yellow-looking slime instead of purple.

I bought this on a whim at a bricks and mortar vendor, and came to Amazon to buy more. It works better than expected. I just wanted something to remove the crud that builds up between computer keys. It did this effectively -- much better than canned air, which I'd been using previously. The nice surprise was that it also made the top of the keys look clean and new.

It's a floppy gel-solid, like the "slime" toy for kids. But the unusual consistency is what allows it to work between keyboard keys.

To get this to work properly, you really have to push it down on the keyboard, When you lift it back up, you should see a waffle pattern from the keyboard.

This was a pleasant surprise and worked well. I'm buying some for people at work (we all have filthy keyboards!) Recommended.

Worked better than I was expecting. It got a ton of the stuck down hair that gets down between keys over time, as well as all the dirt that likes to collect on the sides of the keys. Before I had to clean them off one by one with a q-tip. It even got old dried soda out of another keyboard. It was unusually satisfying to see all the junk it got out.

Best used in combination with spray air though, it helps loosen everything up and gets the worst of it out if your keyboard is especially gross.

I bought this product at Walmart to get the crumbs, cat hair, etc. out from under my laptop's keyboard. My kids used it, also. It was awesome! Just squish it into the keys and it goes under the keys and grabs whatever is underneath without harming anything.

But all things must be replaced. When I returned to Walmart, they not only didn't have it, they had no clue what I was talking about. I couldn't find it on Amazon because I couldn't remember the name. Today (a year later) I did a Google search and found a review. I recognized the picture, copied the name, and found it on Amazon. That's how good this stuff is (it's worth hunting down).

What you get in the pouch is this slab of fluorescent yellow gel/putty. It seems to have some kind of alcohol in it, but doesn't list that on the outside. You basically take the slab, lay it on the keys, and moosh it in. The mooshing seems to help it clean the key sides somewhat. Slowly peal it back, and it will have grabbed any loose and lightly adhered keyboard grunge. It seems to do a good job of cleaning the key tops and an OK job of the key sides. If you really push it in, it also grabs the stuff below if it's not too deep.

What it won't do. Remember when you ate Cheetos and typed your term paper/business report/extended coding session? You know that stuff that is on your key sides you have to scrape to get off? Won't touch that. Nor will it fix the sticky drink you spilled in.

Depending on your level of risk aversion, you can try the dishwasher trick (for separate keyboards only, not laptops). Just be sure to not use a caustic soap (look for something that says "Safe for silver") and dry completely.

I bought this product a couple of years ago, and I also bought the pop-up cup one a couple of months ago in case of emergency.

I did like the way it can pick up dust and particle under the spaces of my laptop's keyboard, and any dust/particle I can find around it. A somewhat gel-formula that can be smooshed into cracks and little spaces to clean out any dirt. I believe in comparison to the usual gel-formula or kid's toy of gooey gel or whatever they called, Cyber Clean mold together and doesn't come off so easily. However, as I use more and more of it, and as days - weeks passes by, the gel-formula will get weaker, and I will occasionally see small pieces of Cyber Clean laying somewhere within inside the laptop's keyboard until I get it out, probably by smooshing more and gently taking it out. I think somewhere on the top right side of my keyboard, I must of pressed the Cyber Clean aggressively and broke my [+ =] button, so do be careful when smooshing the Cyber Clean. I decided to keep Cyber Clean as a emergency, and part of my collection of several cleaning supplies to clean electronics.

Cyber Clean is an unusual cleaning product developed in Switzerland especially for cleaning small cracks and crevices, such as are often found on electronic or mechanical devices and appliances. Cyber Clean is a fluorescent yellow glob of goop that you mash and squish into the cracks and crevices, then pull it off, dust and dirt attached. It has an artificial lemon scent and smells slightly of alcohol as well. It's cool to touch and not as runny as a Slime toy or as tacky as Silly Putty. Dirt and dust are trapped in the goop, which you fold and knead into itself until it is completely discolored by dirt. Then you throw it away.

Cyber Clean works better on my keyboard than specialized vacuum cleaner attachments. It gets in some areas that Q-tips don't, but Q-tips can pick up some stuck-on dirt, which Cyber Clean doesn't. Cyber Clean only picks up loose particles. It is, however, more convenient than Q-tips, and with some squishing and reshaping, it gets down into the space between the keys and the side of my keyboard that is so difficult to clean. Cyber Clean is great on my DSL modem and air filter, which both have grating that must be vacuumed. Cyber Clean does a better job with less hassle. Anything with little indented parts, like screws, ports, ridges, are perfect candidates for Cyber Clean. Just push it into the space with enough force to make good contact and kind of roll it around.

Cyber Clean does not contain any solvent, so it doesn't remove stains. It does contain several antimicrobial agents and is advertised as killing 99% of "germs". By this they mean Staph aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, E. coli, Candida albicans, and Aspergillus niger, on which the formula has been tested. Two of those are fungi; three are bacteria.
