2.0 out of 5 stars Hmmmmm, October 26, 2003

This isn't Tech N9ne it's Tech 9, it's techno, it didn't sound bad but it is not Tech N9ne and for having the same name only spelled different then I give it only 2 stars. If I wasn't such a technohead it probably would recieve only 1 star for making sales off a name. If you look at what other cds people bought who purchased this cd it appears as though most people who bought this cd thought it was the rapper Tech N9ne but it's not. mmfcl

4.0 out of 5 stars First time out of gate is hard, fast, November 22, 2000

Quite simply Tech-9 rocks, scratches and screams with a passion and a point. Don't go looking for a happy place while listening to Cyberkillers, you won't find it. But if you like an industrial/rock/vocal/midnight mix then Cyberkillers is for you. Cyberkillers first track (Freedom) sets the pace for the rest of the album, which reaches its peak at Gangster Love. Gangster Love is Tech-9's passionate argument against what they see daily living in West-Philly. The Lyrics, "live by the gun die by the gun" while powerful never deviates from Tech-9's industrial, fist pumping, energy demamding mission. With songs that are six and seven minutes long Tech-9 is not afraid to let the dance infusion in it takeover. There is room for Cyberkillers to grow, every young group can grow, but for a first time out this is hard, tight, industrial. If you're sick of wannabe "alternative" music and are looking for a new sound that you've never heard before then you must own Cyberkillers.

4.0 out of 5 stars The Future of Industrial Music, September 20, 2000
This review is from: Cyber-Killers (Audio CD)
Tech-9's debut full-length CD "Cyber Killers" is an adrenaline-powered collection of fist-pumping industrial dance anthems. A perfect combination of snarling vocals, frenzied guitar, and relentless beats (courtesy of Octavio, Lucifer, and Vince) gives Tech-9's music a primal energy reminiscent of Nitzer Ebb circa "That Total Age." Each of the ten tracks has its own unique edge. The opening "Freedom," a hard-hitting synth-driven dance song, gets the album off to an impressive start; the single "Knowledge is Power" blazes with its furious rhythms and infectious chorus (like NE's "Let Your Body Learn," it's virtually impossible to resist chanting along); "11th Hour" is perhaps the album's most dancefloor-friendly track; the album's standout cut, the epic "The Damned," builds to an amazing, symphonic finish. Clocking in at just under an hour, "Cyber Killers" is an intense journey into the dark realm of electronic music, sure to appeal to fans of Front Line Assembly, Nitzer Ebb, Covenant, etc. A strong debut album that packs a serious punch, "Cyber Killers" is a preview of good things to come. Highly recommended!!
