The CHLDV1010 DVD player provides a crystal-clear picture with enhanced digital processing. Thanks to progressive-scan technology, the CHLDV1010 plays your DVDs in theater-like clarity and reproduces colors vividly. Take full advantage of that picture clarity with the digital picture zoom option, which lets you magnify a portion of the picture onscreen while in freeze-frame mode or even while watching a DVD in real time. The CHLDV1010 also features a wide array of DVD features, including multiple angle selection, a fast-scan option that allows you to fly through DVDs, and slow motion viewing.

The CHLDV1010 features built-in stereo speakers and a headphone jack for private viewing and listening. Hook the player up to a 5.1-channel compatible audio receiver through an easy-to-connect, multichannel optical digital audio output to get rich surround sound. The CHLDV1010 plays DVDs, DVD-Rs, and CDs, so you can enjoy all your favorite videos and music. You can also play MP3s and view digital JPEG photos from CDs created on a computer.

Take the CHLDV1010 anywhere you want to go. The external battery can run the player for up to two-and-a-half hours, and can be easily recharged between viewings in about four hours. I'm very happy with this item. The picture ouality is awesome, and it also has a few sound settings like virtual surround sound. one of the features I like the most is, lets say you are watching a letter box addition movie, and of course you notice it doesent fit the screen. All you need to do is use the zoom button to make it full screen. the are a few magnification settings for the zoom feature. It will also play Mpeg 1 thru 4 video files. The portability is great too,and the 10" screen wont have your eye's squinting and going blurry like the 7" model. Other players are more money and dont have some of the features this unit has. I'm very satisfied, I think you will be too. You pay more money just for a well known name. This cyberhome item is no joke. It also plays most photo cd's or photo cd's you've burned yourself and music cd's. You can turn the built in LCD screen off at any time, and it even has a built in sreen saver that's automatic when enabled. It can also be hooked up to any Tv with RCA input and output jacks. I've even used it with my 19" PC monitor,using an RCA to VGA signal convertor. It's awesome!

I bought one of these at DataVision for a flight I had the following day with my 2 year-old.

2 hours into the flight, it stopped working - it kept telling me to insert a disc even though there was one in it. It never worked again.

At least DataVision were good & easy about replacing/crediting me

I bought the CH-LDV1010A from QVC for around 300$ (5 payments even!). I was really interested in the 10" size to reduce eye strain and think it is the perfect size. We have watched a couple movies and I really can find no faults. I have nothing to compare it to as far as portables go, but I can say the picture is clear and colors are vivid. Sound - is not like a stereo TV, but good for a portable player as far as I am concerned. I was not going to settle for less than my expectations - would have sent this back- but it is a keeper.
The player came with the battery charged, no wait to charge up....came with all the added cords I need. I did also purchase the Cyberhome case for this 10" player from Amazon and highly recommend that too- and that even came with another set of ear phones!
I noticed there weren't many reviews for this player so I just wanted to add one and say it is worth the money and a great deal in comparison to other 10" players.
