I purchased this item more out of curiousity than anything else. I have 4 rack-mounted CyberPower UPS devices two of which can accomodate the RMCard. I can easily get to the interface for the UPS by logging on to the server to which it is attached but I wondered if the RMCard would simplify the matter, and it did. I no longer have to walk to the server room or wait for a Remote Desktop connection to the server; I can simply access the UPS via a browser. I was hoping it would allow the collection of statistics that could be exported to an external log file (similar products do the same), but it seems that is not the case. It does do what it says however, so it does work.CyberPower RMCARD201 Internal Remote Management Adapter for CyberPower UPS Devices
I installed this in a PR1500LCDRT2U ups, there is logging of ac power utility quality. And you have the ability to send alerts via Email if the power goes out. I recently had a wireless access point lock up in a remote cell phone tower area. I did have the ability to reach the web interface of the UPS , so I instucted the unit to do a 1 minute long shutdown powerup reboot. That saved the day for my customer. Great product.
