I Sure Hope Terrorists Don't Read This book!,
By
This review is from: Cyberjihad (Paperback)
Terrorists find new ways to attack America, that may not be to far from reality! Cyberjihad is a faced-paced, action-packed and well written book that sends chills down the spine in a post 9-11-01 world. The technical details are on par with Clancy novel. Definetly a recommendation for library discussion groups and anyone who enjoys reading great books.

In This Age of Technology,
By J R Turek (East Meadow, NY USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Cyberjihad (Paperback)
Cyberjihad, by Robert Lanzone, is a thrilling novel linking computer communications, terrorists, and the security of our world. Lanzone uses terminology that is specific yet accessible to any reader, regardless of computer experience. At the opening of each chapter, he uses a timeline that creates a strong, compelling and suspenseful need to read on! I really enjoyed this book and recommend it highly!

Technology Based Terrorists - Can This Really Happen?,
By Hallie Stewart "Hallie Stewart" (New York, NY United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Cyberjihad (Paperback)
Simply from the title you can easily imagine what Cyberjihad is all about. But the depth of author Robert Lanzone's imaginations is what makes this a compellling read.
Picture a Muslim extremeist terrorist cell, living the US and plotting to take over the computer network of the largest financial institutions. Not far fetched at all, right? Now add to the equation a computer technician who stumbles upon some funny buisiness while suspecting a devious coworker. One thing to another and this young computer techie is in way over his head, trying to uncover just how massive this 'Cyberjihad' really is. This book has some similarities to the Matthew Broderick movie, War Games from the 1980's. But it clearly holds you captive to the very last chapter.

A Cyber-Terrorist Thriller,
By Thomas Golumb "Thomas Golumb" (San Diego, CA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Cyberjihad (Paperback)
I picked up CyberJihad at the reccomendation of a friend. He told me it was the kind of modern thriller that would make a great movie. And boy was he right.
CyberJihad is not a scary novel in the sense that the story does not keep you up nights under the covers - but the possibility of a real internet terrorist threat clearly makes one wonder if this can really happen. From the shocking first scene, through the violent ending, Cyberjihad will firmly hold your attention. A reccomended read from a promising new author.

A Techno Thriller For The Terrorist Age,
By Harriet & Bruce (Long Island, NY) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Cyberjihad (Paperback)
Robert Lanzone's Cyberjihad captures the kind of nightmare our state department is probably staying up nights over. Imagine a terrorist cell in the US infiltrating the computer banking system through a major financial institution. One thing to another and the world's financial markets are compromised by Muslim extremists.
Kyle Pemberton is the computer techie hero who enlists the help of a few cybergeeks to uncover the acitivities of a suspicious co-worker. He ends up right in the middle of a national scandal, not even he could have dreamed up. Set in New York City, London and in cyberspace, CyberJihad is a strong debut thriller from a promising new author.

An OK cyberadventure,
By Crunchyhippo (Florida, USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Cyberjihad (Paperback)
I bought the book, hoping for a good cyberthriller, as I had read good reviews about it online. I hate to say that I came away disappointed. It certainly had the potential plot for a good novel, but there were a few things that I think brought the book down. The author shows his vast knowledge of technical terminology relating to computers and networks, but he tends to overwhelm the reader with it by going on and on, and I inevitably wound up skipping the paragraph/section so I could get past it to something I could actually understand. Parts also tend to be "wordy," where I would have to skip a few pages of monotonous dialogue that went nowhere in order to get to something more significant. Lastly, and most importantly, there wasn't a suspenseful buildup of impending disaster. The good guys are onto the villains early on in the book, and it was a big letdown. Frankly, there wasn't much to keep me turning the pages after that. In fact, I've moved on to another book without even finishing Cyberjihad. I may go back to it at some point. So - I give the book two stars.
