I'm beginning to think that the two people who gave this computer one star each just had a lot of friends and relatives they wanted to have it, and gave the lowest rating in an effort to make sure no one else bought one.
Certain things about both reviews stretch believability.
First, the computer has this thing called a warranty. If there is a defective part, you have the company replace it. You don't go out a buy a new motherboard.
Right out of the box, this computer has performed exactly as advertised. I should say that I had researched cyberpower computers thoroughly before deciding to buy one. I had configured one very similar to this one, but decided against buying it directly from the company because of the wicked California sales tax, which would have added $150 to the purchase price.
I have a lot of experience with gaming computers. I've owned Alienware, Falcon Northwest, and Digital Storm computers. But since I'm a dad now, I can't just plunk down $3,000 to $6,000 on a computer anymore.
This computer is perfect, given the circumstances.
Liquid cooling at this price is amazing.
The Thermaltake full tower case is a spacious new design with serious upgrade capability.
The ASRock Extreme mobo can hold three video cards, if I later hit the lotto and can afford it.
The amount of RAM for the money is also excellent.
The AMD Radeon HD 7950 is an excellent card for anyone except the most absolute hardcore gamers. I am for example running World of Warcraft, the Guild Wars 2 beta, and The Secret World all on Ultra settings, with just this one card.
There are enough USB ports to satisfy a small office of workers.
Most impressive though is that this computer is so whisper quiet (sometime completely unexpected and not usually even an issue for me. If the computer is keeping itself cool, I don't care how much noise it makes) that I have literally come back into the office and nearly hit the on switch again because I didn't realize the computer was on.
I'm totally pleased with this purchase.
