1.0 out of 5 stars Total garbage May 29, 2012
By docfate
I bought one of these PCs because I was tired of building my own and it seemed like a good bang for the buck. It lasted a few hours and then blue screened for no reason. I continued to use it and it continued to blue screen. After a few hours of troubleshooting I decided to update the BIOS. Once I did this, the computer refused to boot into Windows and instead blue screened every time I tried to boot it up. When I opened the case I noticed an eVGA video card.

I returned it and got a replacement. I hooked up the replacement and it would not boot into Windows at all. There were artifacts all over the screen indicating a cooked video card. I booted into Safe Mode, downloaded the drivers from nVIDIA and then rebooted the machine. It froze up several times and then finally blue screened. When I opened this case, it was some no name brand video card that was half the size of the video card in the first computer. Draw your own conclusion on that.

I packed it up and returned it to the store. I had this machine in my house for less than 2 hours. They said that the wait for CyberPowerPC to warranty the video card was 4 to 6 weeks.

I asked for my money back.

At the price this computer is at, I expect a flawless performance for years. Not instant blue screens and faulty hardware. DO NOT BUY!!!

1.0 out of 5 stars Horrible experience June 12, 2012
Amazon Verified Purchase
I ordered this computer for my son who wanted a decent gaming computer. A pretty good bang-for-your-buck deal by the specs. Needless to say, now I know why. Received the computer and immediately hooked up. Windows booted up on first try, but after putting in activation codes computer went blue screen. Messed with for several hrs. w/ customer support and decided that it was the motherboard. Returned product and got a replacement thinking I got a bad deal.

Recieved the 2nd computer and tried to powerup. No power was coming from power supply. Finally got power supply working with a good slap. Computer blue screening from the start. Never did get windows to startup. Got with customer support again
and they suggested that the harddrive was bad. Also, the power supply went to acting up again. Had enough. I packaged up and sent back.

1 time I can see, but to recieve 2 computers that were trash out-of-the-box is ridiculous.

1.0 out of 5 stars Completely Unreal August 1, 2012
By Jessica
Like the other user posted above me, I too did not buy this computer from Amazon. My intentions are just to warn others about CyberpowerPC and their awful service. I purchased mine on 2/2/2012. It was defective out of the box. All four memory cards (16GB's) and the GTX560 Ti graphics card was so damaged that when I turned the computer on, after 10 or 20 minutes of Gaming or even browsing the net it would automatically restart to the motherboard screen. This was brand new right out of the box, mind you. So I figure "Okay, maybe an amateur mistake, heard nothing but good things about Cyberpower, i'll send it in."

Sent it back in, got the computer back in a couple of weeks and tada...it's perfect. Fast Forward to July 5th 2012 I'm gaming and the PC just turns itself off, completely. I go to turn it back on and the fans light up, powers down seconds later. Is it the socket? No. PSU Cord? No. PSU, yes. The power supply finally died when I had expressed concern over the power supply previously in early February when I returned it the first time. So I send it in again, only this time I have to pay to ship the heap of junk myself. $80USD down the drain.

They kept my computer nearly 3 weeks "repairing" and "making sure everything is fixed that needs to be". Finally I get it back yesterday and as soon as I unpack the box I hear rattling. Wonderful. I further my exploration and see that the hard drive is just frolicking around inside the Chasis. It was not the shipping that caused this travesty. One thing I can say good about Cyberpower, they know how to pack their computers tight and use shock absorbing foam packaging.

Never been so disgusted over a computer and it's maker in my life.
