5.0 out of 5 stars By far Halcali's best work, November 18, 2008
Cyborg Oretachi is probably the most easily approchable album for the mainstream listener. I despise Rap, but can't help but love almost everything that Halcali have done. Being Halcali, thay cannot help but exude cuteness across everything that they do, and this album is no exception.

First, the tracklist:
Doo The Hammer!!
It's Party Time!
Koi no Bububun (The Vroom Vroom Vroom of Love)
Twinkle Star
Endless Lover's Rain
Look ~Special Edition~
Cyborg Oretachi (We, the Cyborgs)
Driver's License
Fes de Ouissu!
Togenkyo (Paradise?)

HaruKari Michi ~19 no Yoru~ (19 Nights on HALCALI Road?)

The piano intro to Doo the Hammer!! leads the way through a very melodic walk through a paridise of well polished music.

It's PARTY TIME! is just reeking of cuteness all the way through. Great tune.

The entry to Koi no bububun is a mystical trance that yields to a chanting chorus. A slow rap picks up folled by a quicking of the pace which sets the tempo for the rest of the song.

Twinkle Star is a mix of clips from The Magnificient Seven theme that was blended with standard Halcali rap lyrics and a Halcali musical backdrop.

If I didn't know better, I would almost think that Endless Lover's Rain was an Euphonius tune, except that Haruka and Yucali are singing instead of Riya. The choruses are beautiful and really make this song great.

LOOK promises to be a Halcali standard for years to come. The singing is very familiar and the music just pushes them through to a new level.

The title cut Cybork Oretachi is a fast paced toe tapper ruled by a marvelous little electronic riff that only yields to the rapping lyrics.

Driver's License is probably as close as Halcali get to Western Rap (which is not that close). It is dominated by a drum beat as is common and accompanied by a male backup singer (an interesting switch for the West).

Fes de Ouissu! is probably my favorite song of the album, but I live in Florida and just love the Caribbean feel of the music. Not much real rapping here outside of one or two verses.

Togenkyo is a rocking number on a 4/3 beat that really kicks butt. The chorus trops the tempo a notch and flows into a almost Genesis style riff, then back to the kick butt rocking beat.

Tip Taps Tip was the song that turned me on to Halcali in the first place. It was used as one of the closing themes to the Eureka 7 Anime.

KaruKari Miche 19 no Yoru kicks off with an electronic distortion of the voice (common lately, but well done), and jumps right into a rap, followed by more electronic voice masking.

You really will not go wrong with this album.
